STAGE 5 TAFE TASTER DAY
Last Friday Stage 5 students travelled to Moree to
participate in the NSW TAFE Taster day at the
Moree New England campus. Students were
given the opportunity to participate in an
interactive day with professionals involved in
various industry based careers. Our students
attended workshops in Technology, Agriculture,
Construction, Early Childhood, Hospitality, Veterinary Studies,
Aboriginal Health and the Arts.
The Stage 5 students are looking forward to the
upcoming Career Day in Moree early next term.
Along with other schools they will engage in a
diverse range of work industries and educational
sectors workshops on the day.

PRESCHOOL CAPERS
This week, due to the long week end, a number of children
away and the fact we are getting the chook pen and stock
pen made, it has seemed a strange week. The children have
been helping to put the animal pens together which has
extended on the groups learning interest of building. As a
group we discussed the process of reading the instructions and
which tools are to be used to construct it.
Milk / smoothie drink news
Unfortunately we have had to cancel the preschool making smoothies or
supplying milk as it was not viable. We would like to encourage dairy intake
daily so please add in your child’s lunch box items, such as, plain milk, cheese &
yoghurt.
Heating up lunches
Unfortunately due to food safety requirements we are not able to heat up
lunches at preschool.
Next week
CentreCare :- Each Wednesday we are learning from the CentreCare staff. On Wednesday 19 June
10:30 am – 11:00 am we will continue to support our social skills program.

STAGE 4 STUDENT LAPTOP PROGRAM
Stage 4 students will have access to new
Chromebooks (a type of laptop) for their school
studies. Students and their families will need to sign
an agreement with the school before a Chromebook
will be assigned. A payment of $50 is required
annually to lease each laptop. This payment will be
used by the school for ongoing maintenance of the
device.
After 4 years of consecutive lease payments, the
student will acquire ownership of the laptop.
Mungindi Central School will release all responsibility
of the laptop. It will then become the responsibility of
the student to organise and pay for any repairs
needed.

LUNCH PASSES
An important reminder regarding Secondary students who use a lunch pass. It is a privilege, and as
part of the agreement to utilise these passes ALL students must return to school no later than 12:05 pm
in readiness for their next class. Students who continually fail to meet this requirement will no longer be
able to leave school premises for lunch. Alternative arrangements will need to be made for accessing
their lunch ie. bring their lunch to school in the morning or get it delivered by a parent to the
Administration Office before 11:30 am. This is to ensure that there is no disruptions to the classrooms so
students can have the best possible learning experience.
Primary students are not eligible to access lunch passes. Parents are advised if your child forgets their
lunch, or you are running late, their lunches must be dropped at the Administration Office for delivery
to the student. Under no circumstances are parents to deliver the lunches to the classrooms.

Head Teacher Secondary Studies
Please note the changes to the D & T Café schedule. Due to events being held every Friday for the
rest of the term, the lunch time Bacon & Egg burgers have now been rescheduled for Thursday
lunchtime. Remember that all ordered must be placed by Wednesday afternoon to ensure
availability.
