Welcome to MM 74.

It’s been a long ago, but here are again, at the end of

March, with another issue of MM.

Release of new issue will cover the events of March on

GTAForums.

Visually, MM 74 isn’t much different from 73,

thematically as well. You’ll see the same old categories

you said you allegedly like.

The main cover story was a note over whether there will

be more MM after issue 73. Issue 74 came out today.

Hasta La Vista

Hasta La Vista challenges two Truckers in big rig cabs to mow down two slower (but more maneuverable) Cyclists, before they reach a designated checkpoint. It's crucial that the Truckers remember that only one of the Cyclists need to

reach the checkpoint in order for the Cyclists to win. With this in mind, Truckers are encouraged to work together to take out the Cyclist in front before focusing on the one in the rear. By doubling up you're increasing the size of your

battering ram, making it harder for Cyclists to cut a last minute swerve to get out of your way. Even if the Truckers aren't able to turn the Cyclists into road pizza, they can also win if the timer runs out before a Cyclist reaches the finish line.

Sometimes keeping a Cyclist occupied is as good a tactic as killing them to ensure victory.

Siege Mentality

In Siege Mentality, a small group of Defenders must defend their solitary lives from waves of Attackers for a given amount of time. The Attackers will always start Siege Mentality further away from where they will respawn after being

killed. This buys the Defenders a few extra seconds at the start of the Mode to anticipate routes of attack and set themselves in positions where they can create chokepoints in those areas. With two players, this opening position is

critical to defense and coordination is key to covering all possible angles. In those opening moments, it can be prudent to set up booby traps with Proximity Mines and Sticky Bombs at any points that you can't easily cover. In the case of the

Sticky Bombs, hold off on hitting the trigger button until the last moment: this will ensure the maximum number of Attackers are within range of your ring of fire. Throughout the battle, make sure to speak over headsets when you spot an Attacker so that your fellow Defenders can help if you need backup. One final tip for the Defenders: sometimes an

Attacker may attempt to keep you pre-occupied causing you to let your guard down for other potential Attackers. If an Attacker is too far out of reach, move on to looking for others to defend against.

Come Out To Play

Come Out To Play is a game mode that combines elements of both Hasta La Vista and Siege Mentality, and thus players can draw on experiences in those two game modes to ensure victory. Like the Cyclists in Hasta la Vista, Runners have more options for maneuverability around the map. In particular they are able to scale walls and traverse rooftops in

ways that the Hunters (locked to their vehicles) cannot. Escaping over a wall or up a stairway can put you out of range of the Hunters’ sawn-off shotguns and buy you time to turn and pick them off with one of your more advanced weapons.

Just as the Defenders in Siege Mentality are advised to cover each other, Runners should work together to cover attacks coming from all sides. In particular, be sure to move across open ground as one unit. Face opposite directions to ensure that there are no surprises. Co-ordination via headset will be crucial for this. Once you're on the finishing straight, you may be required to cross a significant stretch of open ground. At this point your advantage of being on foot is limited. However, only one Runner has to reach the final flare, so their partner can stay behind and camp out to protect their

teammate making a dash for the finish.

Note, after the heist update 2 more updates came for last and next gen, to fix some bugs, such as SP mobile phone

freeze bug, amongst many other. Matchmaking has also been improved, because the one introduced in the heists

update, caused many rage in the players unable to get enough people for their heist setup preps and the heist finales

too.

Essentially, there are a total of 5 heists in the online segment of the game.

Each heist contains of a few prep missions, and the heist finale, thus totaling up around 25 jobs when you combine it all.

Some are claiming they are the best thing to happen to GTA, the others are saying they are glorified coop missions which

were already present in the game since launch (the missions you receive via Lester, Martin, Lamar, etc phone calls)

One way or another, the heists have been pretty much explained and discovered all we need to know about them. Head

Nothing interesting or new has happened regarding GTA IV, LaD, BoGT, in March nor the past few months

of MM absence as well.

Older GTA News

This year, 2015, GTA Liberty City Stories celebrates 10 years of existence.

One of the two stories games of GTA for PSP, and later PS2. Never came to PC.

And, we sadly, never saw the long anticipated San Andreas Stories either.

GTAF News And finally, a little round up of March 2015 inside GTAF community.

- GTAF Premium and Legendary left alpha stage and entered closed beta stage:

That’s about it. It’s been a semi-slow month, as people have been pre-occupied with heists mostly. But

now that the dust is settling after heists, things are starting to get more active in general chat, gaming

chat, and other community sectors of the forum.

Leone Family Mafia

Leone Family Mafia had Keegeroo and Miss

Malevolent join lately (or maybe a bit further in the

past). Good activity in the gaming chat from LFM.

Andolini Mafia Family

Andolini Mafia Family welcomed Docfaustino join

after he closed his old gang. Fallcreek joined and Mr

Scratch also re-joined OGA via AMF. Minecraft

server run by Kirsty is open and active again.

The Precinct

The Precinct got a guy called ABSOLUTE R SOL3

join recently. Inked of The Department joined them

as well, and veteran member, Attorney General

may or may not have a new avatar.

The Connection

The Connection member MURDOC climbed into

top 25 posters of all time on GTAForums. Member

called Rented also joined The Connection ranks

sometime in the past couple of weeks.

Feroci

Feroci renamed from Feroci Racing and re-

activated their gang section thread. They won the

best official gang award in Forum Awards 2014, and

got a lot of new modding based members as well.

Zaibatsu

Zaibatsu gained Android and Radeon(Pyroshox)

from $$H as noted earlier. Vangelo joined them on

trial, and Andyzoot(Pandazoot) is in the Z group

again. Z’s PGC topic had good activity in March.

Angels of Death MC

Angels of Death MC‘s steeve39 lost his father last

week so it’s been a sad few days in the AoD MC

topic recently. Our condolences man. Before that,

member promotions, and lots of fun on GTA heists.

Cyclop 9

Cyclop 9 month was filled with GTA activity, with a

few of xbox(i think) meets, and after that, when

the heists released, many of them played it and

enjoyed posting some C9 shots with heist vehicles.

D1RTY12

D1RTY12 have been enjoying heists recently, but

mostly on PS3, where the majority of the group still

plays. Their topic has fallen to 2nd page a few times

this month as well.

The Yardies

The Yardies celebrated their 7th birthday this

month. “YardieSeven” traditional birthday meet was

held prior to the heists release. UM 4 also started,

and a roster update with new members was also

completed.

SRS Incorporated

SRS Incorporated topic finally had some activity

in March, as after the heists update, we saw them

open a new page with a first few posts in 2015, and

some heist impressions.

Bianco Crime Famiglia

Bianco Crime Famiglia moved up one page over

the last 30-ish days. Second half of March saw

more activity, after the release of heists, as well as

the release of Battlefield Hardline’s heists.

The Highway Reapers MC

The Highway Reapers MC only had a few posts of

activity over the last month/two on GTAF. Haven’t

seen them or most of their members post or

browse in a while.

The Lost MC

The Lost MC almost made it! After the PC section

of GTAF vaporized somewhere in 2012, it’s been a

rough time for TL, but they are soon to be awarded

for patience with the long-awaited release of GTA

V.

Warriors of the Night

Warriors of the Night again had low activity with

only a few posts in 2015, last one being in January,

so we don’t know if they’re enjoying heists. Judging

by the activity, they’re not.

The Department

The Department leader Inked joined Precinct

earlier the year, but kept The Department running,

as well as it’s recruitment topic, in the recruitment

sub-forum.

Academi PMC

Academi PMC had some great time with the heist

update, taking lots of great promo screenshots with

the army related vehicles in the latest heist update,

as well as doing the heists themselves.

Soul Reapers MC

Soul Reapers MC went up a few replies this

month, mostly videos/screens and latest gang

promotional material. They, like The Department

have more activity in their recruitment topic.

The Damned

The Damned again were featured by Rockstar, in

one of their crew cuts. On the forums, heist related

discussions marred the month of March, as well as

some general ones.

Mobilized Mercenary Division

Mobilized Mercenary Division had a few replies

over the last month, mostly heist related, but we

hear that a few of them on PS4 are enjoying the

heists a lot.

Red Rum Racing

Red Rum Racing topic got bumped from page 3

near the conclusion of this issue, as they continue

to struggle with GTAF activity, and continue to base

themselves off the forums.

Queens of the Damned

Queens of the Damned had no posts in March in

their GTAF topic, last post being on 3rd day of

February month. We don’t know what’s going on,

but a few of their members are seen around GTAF.

8492nd Tactical Fighter Wing

Queens of the Damned went up a single page

this month, with heist related discussion and

general banter, as well as some videos and

screenshots posted.

The New World Order

The New World Order same as the above, about

a page up over March, with gaming and heist

related discussions and lots of videos and

screenshots.

BF Surfer Cruisers

BF Surfer Cruisers had a solid gaming month,

playing heists and chatting in their GTAF topic. Top

Gear dissolvent was one of their main subjects of

discussion this month.

Western Motorcycle Company Cruisers

Western Motorcycle Company Cruisers went up

a page, enjoying some solid gaming and general

activity.

Right of Redemption

Right of Redemption have been seen playing

heists a lot since release, as their topic is filled with

pictures from their recent heist adventures and

other stuff.

Hustle Bones

Hustle Bones continues to confuse everyone, as

expected. Pandazoot aka Andyzoot is in Zaibatsu

group now, and we’ve seen make total destroy

around.

Off-Road All Stars

Off-Road All Stars are one of the new gangs to

resurface in November 2014 and had solid activity

so far in the forums and in-game.

Roman Bellic Enterprises

Roman Bellic Enterprises is hiring cab drivers

recently, although in order to join, you must pass

some deep rules, judging by the amount of declines

apps in the recruitment section topic of theirs.

Goon Squad

Goon Squad is a new gang on the GTAF block,

known for it’s snapmatic photoshopping qualities.

They’ve been featured a few times on R* Newswire,

as well as in GTAF snapmatic spotloights.

Little Havana Scramblers

Little Havana Scramblers looks like the most

promising new gang of 2015, led by pajkosinjo, as

they are up by 69 (pages) at the time of writing

this. Looking good folks.

Yakuza

Yakuza is a new-old gang on the GTAF block. Back

in 2003, a Yakuza gang existed on the forums,

lasting up until 2004. This is now a re-birth, albeit

the theme isn’t GTA Yakuzas, but real ones.

The Pedestrians

The Pedestrians is the last of the new gangs here

lately, and possibly the most original one, theme,

graphically and story-wise. Good luck to the

members, and may they not split up.
