TICKET INFORMATIONNon-theater tickets will be mailed along with

Theater tickets must be picked up at the

Palmer House Hilton hotel during the tour

desk hours listed on this page. All theater

ticket prices include taxes, and processing and

management fees. Theater ticket seating

varies due to venue and performance;

however, RSNA and Hosts Chicago work to

provide the best seats available. Specific

sections and rows are determined closer to

the performance date.

Tickets will be held at the Palmer House tour

desk until it closes each night or 45 minutes

prior to performance time, whichever comes

first. At that time, tickets will be taken to each

specific theater and can be picked up under

your last name at the box office.

TRANSPORTATIONTransportation is included in most tours, and

unless otherwise noted, the pick up and drop

off is at the Palmer House. Theater transpor-

From shimmering lights to decadent bites, Chicago puts its best foot

forward for the holidays. Experience the magic and tradition that shines

during this special time of year on a walking tour through the Loop’s

iconic holiday destinations, and along the way enjoy the sweets and

treats that make winter in Chicago so delicious. While the tour will stay

outdoors as much as possible, if the weather is very cold, it will use

Chicago’s unique underground pedway system for parts of this walking

tour. Highlights include Millennium Park’s Ice Skating Rink, the Lights on

State Street, Macy’s Walnut Room, Daley Plaza Christmas Tree, Brownie

Sampling at the Historic Palmer House Hotel (where brownies were

invented), special seasonal craft beer along the Chicago River, and

shopping/sampling holiday German foods in Chicago’s largest open-air

Christmas Festival – Christkindlemarket.

10. Behind the Scenes at the Shedd Aquarium10:30 AM – 3:30 PM


See Shedd from the perspective of the animal care staff during a

50-minute guided behind-the-scenes tour. At the animal healthcare

center, you’ll see how preventative care and innovative water-quality

practices keep the animals healthy. You’ll go behind the galleries to view

the aquarium from a new angle and see where nutritious meals are

prepared for some of the 32,000 animals. This tour includes express

entry, admission to all exhibits, (including the special exhibit: Jellies), and

a ticket to the next available aquatic show.

will cut this magnificent city down to size and keep you on your toes

during an exciting two and a half hour walk through Chicago’s Loop

District!

In the mood to be dazzled by the work of world-famous artists? See the

generous array of outdoor and lobby sculptures that adorn Chicago’s

Loop District, including pieces by Picasso, Chagall, Moore, Dubuffet, and

Nevelson. Noteworthy structures and significant landmarks by William

LeBaron Jenney, Louis Sullivan, Daniel Burnham, and Harry Weese will

Just two blocks north of the Chicago River and two blocks west of The

Magnificent Mile is Andy’s Jazz Club, an anchor of the now burgeoning

River North district of downtown Chicago. Originating in 1951 as an oasis

for employees of the – at the time – booming newspaper industry that

called this area of the city home, “Andy’s” was the work of entrepreneur

Andy Rizzuto.

Guests will dine with live music at Andy’s Jazz Club, one of Chicago’s

best-known jazz establishments. Historic Andy’s offers a casually-

sophisticated dining experience with a musical menu of Chicago’s top

jazz artists. Local performers cover a range of styles from traditional and

swing, to bop, fusion, latin, and Afro-Pop, all in an intimate setting.

19. Frank Lloyd Wright Experience with Lunch and Robie House8:30 AM – 4:00 PM


Take a journey to nearby suburban neighborhood Oak Park, where Frank

Lloyd Wright’s legend began. During a 45-minute tour through his home

and studio, an expert docent will recount the story of Wright’s work and

life in Oak Park, the location where he and his family spent the first 20

years of his career, from 1889-1909. You will have the chance to learn

more about Wright’s famous “Prairie style” architecture and the meaning

behind it.

After enjoying a casual lunch, travel to Hyde Park to visit the Robie

House on the University of Chicago campus, considered to be one of the

most important buildings in American architecture. It was created by

Frank Lloyd Wright for his client Frederick C. Robie, a forward-thinking

businessman. Designed in Wright’s Oak Park studio in 1908 and

completed in 1910, the building is both a masterpiece of the Prairie style

and renowned as a forerunner of modernism in architecture. Tours of

the site offer a first-hand experience of its contemporary spaces and the

restoration work that is returning the house to its original appearance.

Make your way to the house that Michael Jordan built. The United Center

is a state of the art sports facility with all the amenities. Thousands flock to

the city’s West Side for each Bulls home game, but it isn’t just about

The Bulls made a statement in 2014 by making it to the first round playoffs.

Although they fell short to the Washington Wizards, they showed that they

The installation of the Chicago Picasso inspired a cultural renaissance,

art. Chicago has become a “sculpture gallery” displaying works by many

world-renowned artists. The city’s collection of outdoor sculpture is as

Chicago far exceeds sculptures installed in the downtown area.

Encompassing all areas of the visual arts, it is exhibited in municipal
