Black screen with diegetic sound of grasshoppers suggesting a quiet setting and then a sudden sound of a zip appears as the camera moves outwards.

As the camera continues to move outwards more if the setting is revealed as it shows a door with a shadow therefore showing a character. Also more diegetic sound is created when the phone rings suddenly and a conversation begins the start (dialogue). Non diegetic sound of music starts as well. The dialogue creates a sense of panic as the shadow of a person paces back and forth through high volume and vulgar language.

Now a car has been revealed as the camera continues to move outwards creating a wider shot. It also reveals the setting and the music continues to play in the background. The diegetic sound of the engine running and whispers create a menacing atmosphere that had been foreshadowed in the dialogue before.

It seems two “henchman” have gotten out of the car as the camera moves outwards and you can see they have guns (props) which create a hostile situation. The camera seems to create an establishing shot of the every time it moves outwards this allows the audience to see the story unfold. The music continues juxtaposing the use of guns in this shot and the diegetic sound of the doors slamming represents the characters as aggressive supported by the guns in their hands and the dialogue previous.

This once again establishing shot of the scene shows the bodies of the two men dead. Supporting its genre of a thriller by its content the music still plays once again juxtaposing the situation within the shot. The use of low key lighting also supports the genre as it’s in the dark of night which has connotations of death and violence which is supported by the diegetic sound of gunshots.

Once again a new part to the scene has been unfolded, action of a car crashing and seem to be killing the driver. Diegetic sound of the crash of the car. This establishing shot shows all the action that has took place within the scene. The camera seems to be at an angle as you see from the left of the shot, but this to the next shot.

Now you see that the camera seems to be placed inside a stakeout van showing who was watching all of this unfold just like the audience. The reflection shows the face of this new character and supports the clever camera shot shown throughout this short production.

The camera is now at a standstill establishing shot which presents all of the action that has unfolded before the audience in one shot. The new character that was in the van has now gone out to the street and taken the red bag giving insight to this shorts narrative and the characters in it.

The teenage character on the skateboard has come across the scene were all the action occurred. This is playing on stereotypes of youth as it shows the character more focused on taking a photo instead of calling for help labelling this character as rebellious, oblivious (headphones mise en scene)and dumb. The flash from the photo covers the screen in a bright colour and goes into the title shot quickly.

Within this title shot you still see the flash from the photo but also the name of the short is the name of the street that all this action happened on.
