MOUNT MARTHA SKATE PARK SITE OPTIONS (ATTACHMENT ONE (1))

Mount Martha Town Centre Potential Sites A number of private and public land sites were assessed in Mount Martha. The sites were selected on the general basis that it is large enough to incorporate a Skate Facility. A range of other factors were also considered in relation to a site suitability, outlined in the Sport and Recreation Victoria’s Skate Facility Planning Guide.

SITE ONE (1) - BALCOMBE RESERVE - WATSON ROAD MOUNT MARTHA Balcombe Reserve is a passive recreation reserve that includes a number of recreational facilities including the Balcombe estuary and boardwalk, playground, picnic/ BBQ area facilities, public toilets and car parking.

SITE TWO (2) - MOUNT MARTHA PUBLIC PARK - 41 FOREST DRIVE MOUNT MARTHA Mount Martha Public Park is a flora and fauna reserve managed by the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE). The reserve includes a number of recreational facilities including playground, picnic/ BBQ area facilities, public toilets and car parking.

SITE THREE (3) - FERRERO RESERVE - 37 SEPPELT AVENUE MOUNT MARTHA Ferrero Reserve is an active sports reserve home to junior football, cricket and general public open space. The reserve consists of two full sized football ovals, public toilet and a pavilion.

SITE FOUR (4) - WALLARA RESERVE – 30 ORANA DRIVE MOUNT MARTHA Wallara reserve is a local passive reserve a short distance from the Mount Martha Primary School. The reserve incorporates a local level playground.

SITE FIVE (5) - ECO PARK RESERVE - 48 GLENISLA DRIVE MOUNT MARTHA  

Eco Park is a large passive reserve incorporating district level playground, car parking and South East Water tower. The Park is located adjacent to the Mount Martha Primary school.

SITE SIX (6) - MOUNT MARTHA HOUSE PARADE GROUND - 466 ESPLANADE MOUNT MARTHA Mount Martha House Parade Ground is passive recreation reserve that includes annual carols by candlelight event, tennis courts, car parking and the Mount Martha House Community Centre. The parade ground is the current Mount Martha location for the Shires temporary Mobile Skate Ramp.

SITE SEVEN (7) - MACE OVAL - 18 TAL TALS CRESCENT MOUNT MARTHA Mace Oval is an active sports reserve that includes an oval, car parking and public toilet.

SITE EIGHT (8) - CITATION RESERVE - 88 HELENA STREET MOUNT MARTHA Citation reserve is an active sports reserve that includes two football ovals, pavilion, grandstand, fenced leash free area and large areas of open space.
