Celebrate Staff SuccessPrincipal, Dr. Eady celebrated the team of 1st grade teacher-counselors for motivating their
grade level as the Most Improved on the ITBS for 1999-2000.
Initial Reflection Question • Why should special staff teams be involved with
teachers in motivation for learning ?
Comments: Special staff teams, especially counselors can reinforce academic focus. They should be involved with teachers as teams in academic celebrations to help communicate that learning is highly valued in the school, which is important as a hidden curriculum.

Comments: Caring is promoted through team services. All learners are motivated to
achieve when they feel cared for as people by special staff teams for relationship-building.
