Mobile Chipper 605

The 605 PT is a compact, flexible, highly efficient machine for the production of energy chips from logging slash, clearing and thinning wood, parts of trees, and logs. The combination of time-tested BRUKS solutions with new, innovative technology has resulted in a truly sophisticated machine. Its high chip quality is ensured by long knives, a fully sheathed chipper drum and chip discharge via the unique BRUKS chips accelerator.

The complete chipping unit is installed on a multichassie prepared for a crane. The multichassie and crane comes in different design for variable applications.

The unit is intended to be towed and powered by a large agricultural tractor, 130-250 kW (180-330 Hp).

The 605 PT is characterized by high capacity in spite of its relatively small size, thanks to its compact and smart design.

Chipper unitDrum chipper with welded housing and exchangeable bottom sweep of Hardox steel. Dia. 600 mm rotor operating at 1000 rpm.

Two full-length knife slots, making it possible to change the two split full-length knives (called “2 x 2”), used for slash and parts of tree chipping, to two half-length knives (called “2 x 1”) for most efficient processing of roundwood.

Chip length adjustable in five steps from 15 to 40 mm by adjusting the knife position and turning the eccentric bearing housings.

Easily exchangeable wear parts.

Anvil holder secured with shear bolts making the anvil drop down in case of feeding unwanted material to prevent major chipper damage.

Aggressive, large (dia. 550 mm) hydraulic driven upper feed roller which can be hydraulically raised and lowered, with low-wear, teeth of Hardox steel.

Infeed opening (h x w): 500 x 685 mm.

The chips are thrown out of the chipper through a sliver breaker grate and discharged via an integrated chip accelerator (operating without additional air, which minimizes spillage and dust pollution).

Safety equipment including sensor for rotor stand-still.

The chipper is designed for easy and safe maintenance. The knives are easily accessible through the chipper hood.

Special tools for daily maintenance are included.

Chip drum

Intelligent system with same rotor enabling numerous set-up options for different chip lengths. For 2x2 knives and 15 mm chip length no extra parts is needed. Everything for this configuration comes with the Chipper as standard model.

Respectivly kit consists of weighed shims plate for the knives and in occuring cases counterweights.

Infeed tableInfeed table with five hydraulically driven rollers. The rollers have aggressive, high durable teeth of Hardox steel. Removable waste traps beneath the feed rollers.

Chip tubeThe chip tube can be hydraulically turned 210 degrees and fitted with a hydraulic chip deflector for controlled chip disharge to the ground or into containers. The Chip tube is hydraulically foldable for transport. Chip discharge height 4.25 m over ground level.

Raised sectionAs an option we can deliver a raised section, 30 cm, which gives a discharge height of 4.55 meters above the ground level.

Electrical system24V electrical control system with converter to 24 V if carrier has 12V. Mobile Controller with CanBus communication between cab and chipper for control of the chippers all functions. The system is programmable and ensures accurate, automatic infeed speed control.

All chipper functions as well as the cut-off rpm for the tractor engine load control can be monitored and adjusted from a separate operator’s panel. The system is short-circuit-proof.

Hydraulic system Complete, self-contained hydraulic system with a load-sensing, variable pump and proportional functions for the infeed.

Hydraulic valves for other cylinder functions and the chip tube turning motor, with flow-adapted On/Off functions.

150 liter hydraulic tank and oil cooler.

For the hydraulic system choose one of the hydrailic oils mentioned below.
