If you are new to the world of All Star, we can’t wait to

welcome you into our family and share our amazing

passion with you! But what is All Star? All Star is the

sporting version of performing arts. All Star Cheerleading

and Dance take what were previously performance pieces

and turn them into a well-rounded team sport, teaching

core values of teamwork, coachability, commitment and

work ethic, all skills that are essential lessons for young

people to learn that they can carry through life. All Star

sports are all inclusive, for all ages, body types, skill levels

and experience levels. Everyone is welcome in All Star

Cheer or Dance, everyone is valuable in this sport and has

a role to play in their team.

For those who do not know much about FEA here

is a brief history. We really have come from humble

beginnings, in 2014 we had just two teams training on a

basketball court in a school gym. Today we proudly boast

two gym facilities in Dudley Park & Seaford both offering

competitive & recreational cheerleading, dance, and

tumbling programs. We offer classes from pre-school

through to adults in from beginners to elite levels, there

is something for everyone and everybody makes a team!

Our state of the art facilities contain all the equipment you

could want to cheer, dance and tumble to your maximum

potential. But great facilities are nothing without great

coaches. Our coaches are our greatest asset, all our

coaching staff are current or past Force Elite athletes with

a huge passion for the sport, our club and culture and

instill this into their athletes. All of our coaches are given

ongoing training and support to increase their skills and

offer a better service to our athletes & families.

Dena has been involved in dance her whole life and the cheer world for over 10 years first starting as a cheerleader herself.

She was involved with the Norwood Football club’s sideline cheer squad for a few years before she inherited the role of choreographing their routines, soon after she was in control of the whole squad and she set about trying to get the team to perform their Pom routines at some local competitions.

Not long after the team were learning and performing full cheer routines and competing at Nationals. Dena wanted to continue to offer her athletes more, finding a facility and working tirelessly to get new equipment to help better her athletes grow their skills.

Dena’s devotion to her passion and her athlete lead her to creating Force Elite Academy in 2016 and forever changed from the once performance troupe into the full cheerleading and dance academy you see today.

Dena is an extremely caring and selfless person who wants nothing but the best for her athletes, families and staff here at FEA. Dena cannot wait to achieve new goals in 2020 and continually update the way we run our program to make for better customer experience and athlete quality of life!

Kyron has been involved with sport his whole life growing up playing football and cricket at a high level in state and representative underage teams.

He has always been the perfectionist type in all sports spending hours to perfect technique and from in the skills he had, this love for perfect form and technique sparked a passion for coaching, to help others strive for and achieve successful techniques in whatever sport they play.

Kyron started his cheerleading journey in 2014, originally helping Dena with some strength & conditioning work for team but soon started to get involved with some stunting and was forever hooked. Kyron has dedicated the last 6 years to learning everything he can about cheer, tumbling, coed stunting and choreography, networking with industry leaders from across the world at various conferences to help gain significant knowledge and skills in tumbling & stunting.

Today Kyron is heavily involved in coaching a wide variety of age groups and levels in both cheer and tumbling along with continuing to develop and improve the tumbling program. Kyron is looking forward to working with lots of different ages and levels this year and helping as many people as he can reach their goals!

How Do I Join Force Elite?The Process is Simple

Read through this information pack thoroughly, check out all our programs, classes and see what best appeals to you and what your goals are!

Step 1 – Attend all applicable Placement Days for Cheerleading or Dance, this will be important for you to be selected onto a competitive team. Who needs to attend a placement session? Anyone looking to be placed into Level 1-6 cheerleading and/or Elite & Premier Dance. Those looking to start in Half Season Cheer or Novice Dance do not need to attend team placements but are welcome to come any to see our gym and meet our coaches.

Step 2 – Await that all important and exciting phone call from one of our FEA coaches to tell you which team you have been selected into! We will give you some feedback on your placement sessions, give you your 2020 team/s and tumbling level (if applicable)

Step 3 – Complete your registration online; to make your life easier we will have an all online registration system for all necessary forms, all you need to do is visit us at the gym during January to get sized for practice wear and book any additional classes.

Step 4 – Welcome to FEA you now a part of SA’s largest cheer family, we cannot wait to help you reach your fullest potential

Cheerleadingwith Force Elite

All Star Novice

All Star Novice Cheerleading teams are full competitive teams for beginners.

These teams are non-travelling and present a lower cost for participation allowing for a more approachable entry into the sport. Novice teams have simpler and more cost effective uniforms, lower competition fees and choreography requirements allowing for greater emphasis on learning, fun and team building.

At both FEA locations we will have Novice team options for All Ages. Novice teams will have one team training per week with the option to add on tumbling classes as desired. Novice teams will compete at 4 competitions in South Australia only.

Half Season Cheer

NEW FOR 2020. Half Season Cheer teams are available at both FEA locations in Youth (Ages 7-11yrs) & Junior (Ages 12- 15yrs).

Block 1 Half Season teams train and learn a routine in terms 1 & 2 and compete at AASCF Winterfest in July. Block 2 Half Season teams will train terms 3 & 4 and will compete at CheerCon The Experience in November.

Athletes who enrol into block 1 Half season are able to continue enrolment into Block 2 and complete the full season with 2 competitions. Half Season teams will have one team training per week with the option to add on tumbling classes as desired.

These teams will compete in t-shirt and shorts and will not have custom cheerleading music, offering a much more cost effective option to other forms of competitive cheer.

What to expect if you’re placed into an All Star Elite Team

Levels 1-3 – These teams will train twice per week with their team and once per week in a level specific tumbling class. Teams will compete at 5 competitions in SA and Nationals on the Gold Coast in late November. These teams will have semi-custom, licensed cheerleading music and routine choreography will be conducted in-house. Athletes selected as flyers on these teams are required to attended level specific flyers classes.

Levels 4.2-5 – These teams will train twice per week with their team and once per week in a level specific tumbling class. Teams will compete at 5 competitions in SA, plus VIC Battle in August & Nationals on the Gold Coast November. These teams will have semi/full-custom, licensed cheerleading music and will have a combination of in-house and external guest choreographers. All flyers selected in these levels are required to attend level specific flyers classes.

Level 6 - Platinum will train twice per week with their team and once per week in a level specific tumbling class. Platinum will compete at 4-5 competitions in SA (TBA) and only Nationals on the Gold Coast in November. Platinum will have full custom, licensed cheerleading music and will have a combination of in-house and external guest choreographers. Flyers classes are not mandatory for this team.

All Star Elite Cheer

This is the full cheer experience. These teams compete at all South Australian based cheer and dance events and travel to All Star Nationals in November. To be selected into an All Star Elite team you must attend either our 2020 Team Placements in December or book a private Placement Session, from these placement sessions we can assess each athlete and place them on to the appropriate team & level.

Levels

Ages

Levelling is extremely important when it comes to choosing the right team for an athlete. We want athletes to be performing at the level they are capable of whilst still offering challenge and opportunities to progress.

Cheerleading levels and age divisions are determined by the International governing body for cheer (IASF) and are set for the purpose of safety. This is why aim to select athletes into their correct age groups and levels.

While we do look at tumbling skills when placing athletes onto teams please note the below requirements are a guide only. Some athletes may be placed onto levels without the minimum required tumbling in cases that display superior performance, dance, jumps and/or stunting for that level and who have good attitudes and show high levels of coachability.

NEW for 2020 there is opportunity for those excelling in tumbling to be placed into a Second, higher level team or age division as specialist tumblers.

These athletes’ must display all Level Appropriate passes and at least 1 Elite Level pass to be considered for placement as a specialist tumbler. Successful placements in this roll will not be heavily involved in stunting but will have the role of performing multiple tumbling skills, jumps and choreography with solid form, energy and presence.

All Star DanceOur dance program has come a long way over the past couple years as we continually work to develop and grow our dance program into a well-rounded, competitive program offering pathways to all dancers.

2020 will see our biggest and best dance program we have ever created with new divisions offering pathways for continual development and success in hugely competitive All Star Dance.

All Star Premier

NEW in 2020,

The best of best, this is our ultra-elite program encompassing the best dancers, facilities, coaches and choreographers FEA have to offer.

Premier teams will be selected from the best dancers from BOTH Force Elite locations and will train exclusively at our Dudley Park gym.

These teams will have 2 senior dance coaches per team. Premier teams will compete at 5 competitions in SA and Nationals on the Gold Coast. Premier will be offered in Pom, Jazz, Hip Hop & Lyrical/Contemporary from Mini through to Open (Ages 5yrs up to Adults).

All dancers in the Premier program are required to attend All Star Technique Classes once per week which included in the team costs.

Dancewith Force Elite

All Star Elite Elite teams are for those dancers ready to take their skills and passion to the next level.

Elite teams are the stepping stone into premier division teams with more intricate & faster paced routines with more technical elements.

Elite teams will be offered at both Seaford and Dudley Park gym’s separately and will compete at 4 competitions in SA plus Nationals. Elite will be offered in Pom, Jazz, Hip Hop & Lyrical/Contemporary from Mini through to Senior (Ages 5-18yrs).

All dancers in the Elite program are required to attend All Star Technique Classes once per week which included in the team costs.

All Star Novice

The building level for a competitive dancer. Novice dance is the best starting point to learn competitive dance technique, build choreography skills and performance confidence.

Novice teams will be offered at both Seaford & Dudley Park gym locations and will compete at 3 competitions in SA only.

Novice will be available in Pom, Jazz, Hip Hop & Lyrical/Contemporary from Tiny through to Senior (Ages 4-18yrs).

Dancewith Force Elite

Starting in 2019 we took our internal tumbling program and created Adelaide Elite Tumbling (AET). At AET we want everyone to experience the thrill of tumbling regardless if you are a cheerleader, dancer, gymnast, free runner or just looking to learn the basics from scratch. You do not need to cheer or dance with Force Elite to have the opportunity to be coached by one of our world class tumbling coaches. Our coaches are passionate about teaching tumbling the right way, focusing on power, control & speed with beautiful body lines so no matter who you are, what sport you do you can learn perfect technique and form, not only allowing you to progress through skills faster but safer with less risk of injury’s.

Our tumbling program is non-competitive so is perfect for gymnasts, cheerleaders or dancers looking to take advantage of our incredible tumbling coaches & fine tune their own progressions AND for those who want to only tumble without having to join a full gymnastics or cheerleading program. Because we are non-competitive we can make tumbling accessible to the whole community, from the very young all the way up to adults, there is no age limit on tumbling classes at AET, no matter your age it’s never too late start learning how to tumble!

Important Info• Athletes who join AET will be assessed on their tumbling abilities at the most applicable class

as per our recommendation. If an athlete is more suited to a different class/level, then we willmake the necessary adjustment.

• Athletes in Elite Cheer levels 1-6 are required to attend a tumbling class each week, athleteswill be given tumbling levels along with team placement calls. Elite Cheer athletes cannotsubstitute Tumbling Class for Semi Private. Semi Privates can be booked for the additionalcost per term.

• Athletes cannot enrol into higher tumble levels than their current skills set due to schedulingconflicts, athletes can choose to enrol into lower level classes that suit their scheduling.

Tumbling Classes designed specifically for ages 3-5yrs.

Classes focus on developing the basics of tumbling, strength and coordination required to begin learning their first tumbling skills.

The most elite tumbling skills all incorporate shapes, strengths and technique learned from the basics.

This class is designed for brand new tumblers aged 6-14yrs

New for 2020. Adult tumbling classes are strictly for ages 15yrs+ looking to start tumbling later in life.

AET is one of the few places that offer high quality tumbling instruction to adult athletes.

Based on our tumble levelling progression system below.

Each level has set skill requirements that are all taught and mastered in order for the athletes to graduate up to the next level.

Semi Privates are small classes based on the same levelling of standard classes.

Coaches can focus more on individuals and offer a more tailored training schedule for their student’s needs.

Private lessons are strictly one-on-one sessions with athlete and coach.

These sessions are specifically tailored to the athlete. Regular private sessions are the best way to help achieve new skills faster.

Flexibility classes are just as important as the tumbling classes themselves.

Tumblers who are flexible in the back, shoulders, legs and wrists are a lot less likely to sustain injury, recover quicker and gain skills faster.

Tumble 101

Group and Partner Stunt$200/yearly

Group & Partner stunt are specialty stunt only routines 1min in length that compete at all Australian competitions in Levels 2 to 7 for Junior, Senior & Open age divisions.

We love our group and partner stunting offering set training times for groups with our most experienced coaches. Group Stunts & Coed Stunts will be carefully hand-picked from our Level 2-6 teams and invited to create a stunt group to perform at all South Australian competitions and AASCF Nationals (stunt groups must qualify at States in order to attend Nationals)

Dance Soloist Program $200/yearly

Force Elite Dance academy will be selecting elite dancers to represent FEA in solo competitions.

These dancers will attend a tryout in term 1 and then train together throughout the year. Each soloist will learn one routine in a genera determined by the head coaches.

Each routine will be performed at 1-2 competitions for the 2020 season. To be considered for this elite solo program you must be enrolled and taking class in a Premier dance team.

Consideration will be given to those dancers excelling in a specific style of dance and attending all technique classes. Please include your expression of interest on your dance placement form.

What else do we offer?

It is no secret that being a cheerleading flyer is one of the most unnatural and ridiculous activities the human body can do. Because humans were simply not designed to be thrown around, it takes time and patience to develop the confidence and technique to become superstar flyer. At FEA we have years of experience devolving the best flyers in the state. Our Flight School is a must for all flyers from novice to elite level.

Cheerleading, Tumbling & Dance aren’t just for the big kids. By their very nature Cheer, Tumble and Dance develop fine motor skills, coordination, listening skills and social interactions with both adults and other children. Children as young as 2years old are capable of starting cheer, dance and tumbling at the fundamental level. Many studies have shown what a huge positive influence physical activity and social interactions have on young growing minds & Cheer, Dance and Tumbling tick all the boxes to help positively influence your energetic youngsters. Check out our Preschool programs below!

PlayZone – PlayZone is a free play program where kids from 18months to 4yrs can run, jump, climb, bounce and explore. PlayZone sessions are 45mins and will run two separate sessions for kids 1.5yrs – 2.5yrs & 2.5-4yrs.

PlayZone will be offered at FEA Dudley Park.

TinyTumblers – TinyTumblers are Tumbling Classes designed specifically for ages 3-5yrs. Classes focus on developing the basics of tumbling, strength and coordination required to begin learning their first tumbling

skills. Tiny Tumblers will be offered at FEA Dudley Park & Seaford

CheerCubs - CheerCubs is new for 2020. This class is your child’s first ever cheerleading class for ages 2-4yrs. Learn to work as a team to build stunt structures, body control to stand on one leg, basics of cheer jumps and

choreography, this will be a very fun class! CheerCubs will be offered at FEA Dudley Park & Seaford

BabyBallet – BabyBallet is Dance fundamentals for children aged 2-4yrs. BabyBallet classes teach the basics of dance choreography, movement and style. These classes not only teach basic ballet but also let kids learn

other All Star styles such as Pom, which is by far the most popular for kids aged 2-4yrs as they all LOVE the Pom Poms. BabyBallet will be offered at FEA Dudley Park

Important Information

• Each Dance style requires its own unique costumes. These costumes vary in cost$40-$200 depending on style, age group, props and footwear. You will receive invoices interm one for costuming. We always look for unique, affordable and good quality costumesand try to keep costs to a minimum without jeopardizing overall costuming appeal.

• Costings subject to change once placement days have taken place. Confirmed pricing willbe published in our 2020 registration pack once teams have been established. In the rarecase that an athlete is selected into different programs for different Styles e.g Premier forHip Hop & Elite for Jazz etc. then FEA management can assist with working out costs foryou.

• Tuition Prices above vary in the same program style due to different Age Divisions, exactper team costing will be supplied in our 2020 Registration Pack

*only one registration fee is applicable per athlete. Eg, if a student is doing cheer and dance they only pay the one fee of $180 for the year.

Competitions run over weekends and some Friday evenings.

INTERSTATE TRAVEL

All Star Cheer Elite teams, All Star Premier Dance teams, All Star Elite Dance teams will be travelling to AASCF Nationals, end of November 2020. Nationals will be held in Queensland, NSW at the Convention Centre. As we do each year Nationals Traveling teams will have group travel packages to choose from in varying costs. More information to be advised early 2020 .

AASCF Nationals Est Cost $180-$1500

Select teams will also travel to an additional interstate trip to compete at larger competitions to gain needed experience and performance time against the county’s best.

AASCF Battle Cheer Edition Est Cost $500-$800
