Crossing the 30 year mark is a once in a lifetime event for any institution. We at MIS want to share this wonderful experience with our alumnae and the MIS family. Alumnae are always an important part of not only the school’s history but also the future. Without our alumnae, crossing this mark would not have been possible! Hence on this wonderful occasion of celebrating 30 years of the school’s existence we want to introduce the concept of ’MIS: The Glorious 30’.

The idea of ’The Glorious 30’ is to celebrate the success of 30 MIStar who have been part of last 30years of MIS. The school takes immense pride in sharing the stories of such young achievers. Sharing of such experiences will act like a constant source of motivation to the current stars of MIS and will eventually help them to achieve their goals in life. These experiences might also help other alumnae’s in discovering an opportunity for them also.

We at MIS believe that the celebration of 30 Years of the school’s existence will be incomplete if these achievements and experiences of our alumnae are not shared.

“The best three things that MIS taught me are:

1. Always keep an open mind. There will always be opinions; yours should be in the mix too!

2. Be organized and half your work is done for you before you begin.

3. We often had celebrities visit at MIS on Founders day. Once it was Naseerudin Shah and we were clamoring for autographs. We were advised that one should aspire for people to clamor for you, not the other way round. It made us realize that our aim should be to work hard, so that we have achievements that are celebrated by others.”

Message to MIStars

“MIS gives you tremendous grounding academically in the most beautiful surrounding. As you leave, you will scatter all over the world. As you continue your journey, always remember to be yourself, protect yourself and aim to be the best that you can be. Be proud of your heritage as it is a source of strength. Always ensure that, you stand on your own feet, be self sufficient, and in a position in which you can use your education to further the human cause. Talk to paupers and royalty with equal respect and compassion. Be happy and be proud.”

"

Message to MIStars"You may not realize it now that how each and every rule in school has a meaning behind it. I remember one day we asked our housemother why the school served fancier and a variety of dishes to the guests that came on Founder's day or Raksha Bandhan, when we ate regular food (which was already excellent) everyday. She responded with, "Isn't that the same thing you do at home? Your mother prepares more dishes when you have guests than what you eat every day." Enjoy your time. Enjoy your youth. Maximize the resources that you have. Absorb what you can to your highest potential. And honestly, consider yourself lucky to be in a very nourishing and healthy environment. The friends and relations that you make today are for you to keep for the rest of your life.

Formation of leadership skills & creativity at an early age has helped me in taking up challenges in my professional career & building meaningful relationships. The foundation years spent in MIS have helped me immensely in shaping up my career and maintaining a balance in my life. MIS helped make me who I am!!”

Message to MIStars

“My message to the MIS community “MAKE THE MOST OF IT”. The opportunities you get at school look very insignificant from talent shows to annual days, saree wearing to short plays, but has high values attached. All of this exposure is truly what you will use in life,. The confidence you get, the small wins, the disciple, the insistence on a clutter free environment, the boring routine, the subjects you love/hate all play differnet roles.. As you foot outside, there is no one to care enough ,to teach , the way MIS does . At college itself you feel the difference. So truly only one message “LEARN.... GROW....LEARN....GROW”. Participate in every opportunity that is given to you. And work on being the best you can be without comparison and without competition because “ YOU CAN BE YOU, JUST START YOUR JOURNEY TO BE BEST YOU”.

“Being a part of MIS family is the best thing that has ever happened to me. It was a perfect mix of people with unique values and talents coming together and yet it was a closely knit family. It gave us an insight of strength in diversity. We were blessed with loving teachers who not only supervised our academic progress but also gave us innovative recipes for indulging in being a good human being. We were trained to face the challenges of the world. MIS had protected us from all the negativity during our budding years , until we developed an understanding that made us capable of independently making our way through this ocean of existence.

A lot of other things were taught to us that unknowingly help us growing up.To name a few, the values of discipline, a touch of spirituality, exercise for healthy living, table manners and lot more.”

Message to MIStars

"As I always say, MIS is a home away from home. One should thank her parents for this opportunity. MIS is a great move for one. The personal grooming and personality development that MIS provides, no day school can substitute. Every child's hidden latent speciality is brought out in the form of talent. Moreover it has helped us realise the value of distance and time. After completion of school, I am easily able to identify my MIStars in a crowd as there is something that definitely sets us apart from the common. Apart from school, I also thank my father for providing me this golden opportunity and being there with me at every step from play school to university and helping me believe in myself so strongly."

“What we learned at MIS were ground level basic values. Simple things that actually shape personality of an individual were given the highest ground such as respect for fellow students, appreciating differences, personal hygiene, learning to live in all type of conditions and discipline. It is these values that set MIS girls apart from others. Living away from family was of course painful but as I grew I realized what I had gained as the return for the sacrifice. Today I am a much confident person with my basic values intact. I believe that MIS girls have the potential to not only be good professionals, but also a loving wife, caringdaughter, a doting mother and a developed human being as we are taught at MIS everything a girl needs to fulfil all her duties. I remember Uncle Rawal referring to us as 'The' girls of MIS that shows that he had the vision and the confidence that MIS girls are different. Today I am proud to say that I have been a part of the MIS family. I hope someday I can give back to my Alma Mater for what it has made me today.”

Message to MIStars

"To Uncle Rawal and my teachers - Thank you for shaping my personality that has helped me become what I am today. To my friends - Although we are spread across the globe now and do not get a chance to meet very often, I'm sure we all cherish the times we spent together. Hope to meet all again at some point in life. To the current students of MIS - Cherish this time. Take the maximum you can from this institution. It is only later that you will realize the importance of what you're learning here."

Values learnt from MIS"At MIS we were always encouraged to participate in multiple and diverse activities besides academics. Be it sports, culture, music/dance, etc. Actively participating in all these activities through the years in MIS, helped me build myself as a holistic individual. Even during my university education and work life, I carried this holistic attitude, which was inculcated in me at MIS. I developed the confidence to do everything that I was passionate about, without having to drop any interests, or leave behind any part of myself. In my case I was always interested in technology, spending hours in the lab after regular lab hours, building programs on Q Basic under Mr. Upadhyay' s guidance who always encouraged and challenged me with difficult problems.

I also discovered things like my interest for literature, under Ma'am Mcfarland's Shakespeare classes, and Ma'am Verma's English classes who identified my potential and encouraged me to participate in both Intra school and global writing competitions. At the same time I was encouraged to participate in all the sport competitions by Mr. Mukesh, which later in life helped me with leadership and managerial skills and to display team spirit in every situation, be it professional or personal. (Now this is something I wouldn't have been able to foresee at that time) Hence I developed further skills, with the confidence to do what I was passionate about and develop myself at a holistic level. Presently, I am a writer, software engineer and an IT teacher.

people get to interact and be with people from all walks of life, But for me I guess I got that kind of exposure and environment from
