Prof Ichha Purak
Welcome Address
Ranchi Women’s College, Ranchi , today reputed as a premier institute, was established in July, 1949 by Late
Bhanumati Prasad , and a visionary team of scholars and statesmen to provide an opportunity of higher
education to the women of Chotanagpur, a neglected and under developed area of the then Bihar.
The College was founded in a small building on Circular Road, Ranchi as an Intermediate College with 11
students and three Teachers. Another Campus housing Science Block was created in 1976 on Circular Road
itself near Nagra Toli and the old building started functioning as Arts Block of Ranchi Women's College. In
2008 a grand second floor has been constructed in the Science Block building.
The college has been granted an autonomous status under Ranchi University by UGC in the year 2012. The
motto of college is to provide value based quality education and has a dream to become a deemed Institute in
coming years for which every member is contributing positively day and night.
The college prepares women students for the rapidly changing world of today and tomorrow. The college has
attempted to keep itself updated in knowledge and skills by combining the traditional subjects in arts and
Science with vocational subjects in the emerging areas such as Biotechnology, Information technology
,Computer Science, Fashion Designing , Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics etc. Since the traditional programs in
arts, science and commerce have more of knowledge content and less of skill content, it is enriched through
classroom discussions, audio-visual teachings through LCD Projectors, seminars, tutorials, project work,
networking with NGOs and lectures/workshops by experts from India and abroad, on-job trainings , study
tours, excursions, survey, project works, visit to institutes etc.
The Alumnae of Ranchi Women’s College are eminent figures all over the world, holding dignified posts in
almost all spheres of private, public, government and semi-government sectors. They are Scientists,
Researchers, State and National Administrative Officers (through BPSC & UPSC), Judges of High Court and
other Court, Advocates, Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, Bank Managers of Nationalized Banks,

Eminent Sports Personalities of National and International fame, Doctors, Engineers, Advisor in Central
Government, State Commissioner for Information, Entrepreneurs, Tourism, NGO’s, Employees in MNC at
higher ranks in Foreign countries also.
The purpose of an association is to foster a spirit of loyalty and to promote the general welfare of the
organization. The enthusiasm and willingness of several individuals who are willing to take on the
organizational initiative and sustain it make the Alumnae group energetic and dynamic.
Today we have gathered here to remember old student life days which acts as catalyst in enhancing joy and
enthusiasm
I on behalf of Internal wing of Alumnae Association of Ranchi women’s College (GARIMA) welcome you
all on this auspicious occasion of 4th Alumnae Meet . Your participation has enhanced pride ( Garima) of our
College.
Today’s Meet is held to deal with some objectives and to explore road maps to help our alma mater to
update its curricular, extra-curricular and Infra structural setups to pace with the modern global scenario.
It gives me an immense pleasure to announce to you all that we are introducing ‘GARIMA’ Magazine
(Newsletter) in this Alumnae Meet. The Magazine will serve a powerful communication tool promoting ties
between the Alumnae and Ranchi Women’s College, Ranchi .We would appreciate your proposals and
suggestions concerning the extension services by Alumnae for the betterment of Alma mater as the success of
the any Alumnae group depend on support and contribution of its members.

MESSAGE
It gives me great pleasure to note that GARIMA, Alumnae Association of Ranchi Women’s College is
organizing a Get-Together Programme of all old students on 26th July 2017 and taking out a Magzine on this
occasion . GARIMA is doing an exemplary work in providing a platform for the old students to exchange
ideas and formulate ways and means to help the students and Institute.
This Network of old students is a very valuable and necessary part of any Institute and GARIMA is fulfilling
that need. I congratulate them for all the work they have done and I wish them a success in this Alumnae meet
and all their future endeavours.

The purpose of an association is to foster a spirit of loyalty and to promote the general welfare of the
organization. Alumni associations exist to support the parent organization’s goals, and to strengthen the ties
between alumnae, the community, and the parent organization.
The enthusiasm and willingness of several individuals who are willing to take on the organizational initiative

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF AARWC (GARIMA)
1. To hold meetings and organize functions for providing the alumnae an opportunity to revive pleasant
moments of student life association with their almamater.
2. To initiate and implement programmes and activities for emancipation of weaker section of the society
in general and the woman and children in particular.
3. To help in creating and promoting an environment where in the alumnae can experience gratifying
satisfaction in contributing their might in helping the college to achieve its cherished goal.
4. To generate opportunities for creative and educative interaction between present and past students
of the college.
5. To provide a forum to alumnae of the college to participate more meaningfully in shaping and
positively influencing the progress and evolution of their almamater.
6. To create a platform through which the college would be able to maintain its link with its former
students in an effective manner.
7. To create a directory of alumnae as far as possible including name, address, mobile no/email address
and their present occupation or Designation for communication by students and teachers when
required
8. To invite and seek about the extension services the alumnae are willing for upliftment and better
future prospect of the college
9. To become familiar with suggestions of the alumnae for improving conducive teaching and learning
environment . Support from Alumnae in providing better wholesome education to students.
10. To enrich Almamater RWC with experience of senior alumnae in Professional career with regard to
designing curriculum in pace with changing global scenario.

Ranchi Women's College, Ranchi MEETING OF ALUMNAE ASSOCIATION (GARIMA)
Date :12th March 2016 Time : 11.30 P M to 3.30 PM
The meeting of “Garima”, Alumnae Association of Ranchi Women's College, Ranchi held today in the
Bhanumati Memorial Auditorium of College at Art’s Block from 11.30 am to 3.30 pm. The Alumnae of
Ranchi Women’s College are eminent figures all over the world, holding dignified posts in almost all
spheres of private, public, government and semi-government sectors. They are Scientists, Researchers, State
and National Administrative Officers (through BPSC & UPSC), Judges of High Court and other Court,
Advocates, Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, Bank Managers of Nationalized Banks, Eminent
Sports Personalities of National and International fame, Doctors, Engineers, Advisor in Central Government,
State Commissioner for Information, Entrepreneurs, Tourism, NGO’s, Employees in MNC at higher ranks in
Foreign countries also. (List Enclosed). Following agenda were discussed and resolutions were taken
accordingly.
1) Agenda : Finalization of a particular date for the Alumnae Meet every year :
Discussion : It was discussed that there is no well defined date for the Alumnae Meet every year. This
creates confusion and dilemma in deciding Alumnae Meetings. With the opinion of the house a date
should be fixed . It should also be discussed and fixed how many meetings should be conducted in a year
one/two/four. What should be the time interval between two meetings.
Resolution : On the basis of ideas received from the Alumnae gathering it was resolved that every
year Alumnae meet will be organized on last Saturday of March or first Saturday of April .
2) Agenda : Formation of an Executive Committee :
Discussion : It was discussed to form an Executive Committee of Alumnae Association including
representatives of different batches of present and past alumnae members. At least, a local chapter should
be framed. The Members proposed and seconded some names for Executive Committee. (Enclosed in
separate sheet)
Resolution : An Executive Committee has been formed including eighteen members. (Details on
separate sheet) on 12-3-2016 . The meeting of executive committee will be held in the month of
March, June, September and December every year (4 times). The Principal, Ranchi Women’s
College will be the Patron of Executive Committee.
3) Agenda : Preparation of Blue Print or Road Map :
Discussion : The association discussed to prepare a Blue Print or Road Map of Functioning of Alumnae
Association for next five years by framing a work plan or vision for the Alumnae Association. Ranchi
Women’s College was founded in the year 1949 completing nearly 66 years. We have to observe whether
our institute is keeping pace with developing curriculums and infrastructure facilities and what way

alumnae can contribute or render their services for better performance of Alma Mater. The Proposals for
Action plan was suggested. (Enclosed in separate sheet)
Resolution : For preparation of Blue print or Road Map AARWC (GARIMA) resolved to
communicate with the Alumnae members through meetings of Executive Committee. Proposal given
by Chief Guest of Alumnae (12-3-2016) Mrs. Paramjeet Kaur (IAS) to establish a Foundation Course
for needy but deserving, intelligent & laborious students was welcomed by majority of Alumnae
present in the Meet and it was decided to work out the plan and seek help of Alumnae who are
willing to contribute their expertise and time .Alumnae Mrs. Alice Horo contributed Rs 2000/- for
welfare of students.
4) Agenda : Own Website or incorporated into College’s Website :
Discussion : The association discussed that Garima should have its own separate website. But if it will
cost more than ten to fifteen thousand rupees then it can be separately incorporated in College’s Website.
It will include the names of all members along with their contact numbers, address and present status
(house making/ occupation /designation). For maintenance of website some individuals from both
Alumnae and RWC side should come forward and take the responsibility.
Resolution : It was resolved that instead of making a separate AARWC website , the database
including name, contact number, email address and present status /occupation/designation can be
incorporated separately in running website www.ranchiwomenscollege.org . It was also resolved to
bring out a News letter/magazine including /citing achievements of Alumnae.
5) Agenda : Preparation of List for Contributions/ Donations/ Services / Support :
After discussion following resolutions were taken to support college through various ways.
Resolution : The association unanimously agreed on the point to support college in following ways :
i. Donations of equipment or supporting items for students / staff room/ non teaching staff /
college
ii. Contribution through services like collaborative efforts for extension activities /outreach
activities etc.
iii. Academic Support by conducting Seminars / Conferences / Workshops by inviting outside
Experts / Scholars/ Doctors/ Specialists / Industrialists etc. and by arranging special
enrichment programmes on Value based Education, Yoga, Art of Living, Spoken English,
Personality Development etc.
It was resolved by the Alumnae to contribute through services like collaborative efforts
for extension activities /outreach activities etc.
It was further resolved to enhance Academic environment by conducting Seminars / Conferences /
Workshops by inviting outside Experts / Scholars/ Doctors/ Specialists / Industrialists etc. and by

Mrs Anna Goretti Minz ,Hockey player, showed her willingness to contribute her efforts in
promoting sports activities and providing training to interested candidates every Saturday and
Sunday
6) Agenda : Instituting Scholarship, Award, Trophy, Medal to students :
Resolution : The Association decided to institute Scholarship, Award, Trophy, Medal for students to
encourage them and to provide incentives to excel in future. In this regard
Dr. Ichha Purak declared that she will give a Running Trophy to the “Best Graduate” of College in the
name of her father “Late Sardar Avtar Singh Azad” who strongly supported girls’ education throughout
his life.
“Late Sardar Avtar Singh Azad” memorial running Trophy was awarded to Best graduate(2012-2015) Sonam
Kumari,Mathematics Honours who scored the highest(94.22% ) This Trophy along with a cash amount of Rs
2500/= was sponsored by Dr Ichha Purak, University Professor, Department of Botany, Ranchi Women’s
College, Ranchi as a Tribute to her father who strongly supported girls education through out his life.
7) Agenda : To strengthen the Alumnae Association :
Resolution : The association expressed concern over ornamental status of alumnae association and
decided that it should be all the more active and functional.
For this it was decided to increase the number of active members who can build the perception of the
philanthropic worthiness to make contribution to our alma mater.
8) Agenda : Feed Back of Alumnae on Campus, Curriculum, Teaching etc. :
Resolution : The Members resolved to withdraw the feedback of all members on campus & ambience ,
curriculum, infrastructure, teaching-learning process etc. The format of Feedback was distributed among
all members. They filled it and it has been collected.
It will be put in the next meeting of Executive Committee who will assess it and make findings and
recommendations which will be sent to the Principal within a couple of month for betterment of College.
Feedback comments have been obtained from about 130 Alumnae members. On the basis of these some
common suggestions were selected which are as follows
To promote clean and Green Environment in the college campus
To facilitate transport system for students
To upgrade infrastructure which includes
Availability of more class room
Basic facilities like sanitation, drinking water etc.
Electricity and water supply arrangement for laboratories
Well equipped laboratories as per curriculum requirements
To increase and encourage sports activities
To increase extra curricular activities NSS and cleanliness drive
To start on line data system including Syllabus, Result, admission, Faculty profile ,Alumnae details on the
college website and Net working

To provide clean and hygienic Staff Room for Teachers
To start some new courses M.Com, MA Fashion Designing, MA C.N.& D.
To start Yoga, Karate , spoken English, Personality Development , I T awareness certificate & Diploma
courses.

Preparation of Blue Print or Road Map
Following Proposals for Action plan were suggested
1. Alumnae will set as an integral partner of the college curricular and extra curricular activities as far as
excellence of college is concerned .
2. Alumnae ready to spare time and render their services for the benefit of students, faculties and staff
will intimate about their wishes to the President or Secretary of the Association who with the consent
of the Principal is entitled to line up the plan of action for the progress of the college.
3. All matter related with College development and clean green campus will be put up in Alumnae
Executive Committee’s meetings and Principal of the college will be acquainted with the resolutions
by The President or Secretary of GARIMA .

By-Laws of the Alumni Association
These are the by-laws and policies that currently exist for the Alumni Association of Ranchi Women’s
College,Ranchi (GARIMA)
ARTICLE I.- NAME
The name of this association shall be called:
ALUMNAE ASSOCIATION OF RANCHI WOMEN’S COLLEGE,RANCHI (GARIMA)
ARTICLE II. -PURPOSE
The general purpose of this Association shall be to promote the general welfare and effectiveness of Ranchi
Women’s College,Ranchi
1. Strengthening the ties between former and current students of Ranchi Women’s College
2. Stimulating the interest and activities of the alumnae of Ranchi Women’s College,Ranchi
3. Participating in further development of Ranchi Women’s College,Ranchi.
ARTICLE III.- MEMBERSHIP Regular membership in Alumnae Association of Ranchi Women’s
College (GARIMA) shall be extended to all alumnae , including all those who ever has studied for atleast two
years in Ranchi Women’s College,Ranchi by subscribing Rs 100( Annual membership)/Rs 1000 (Life
Membership)
ARTICLE IV. - OFFICERS An Executive Committee consisting of 19 members has been framed for
smooth functioning of activities of AARWC( GARIMA)
The officers of the Association shall be: Patron, President, Vice President, General Secretary, Secretary , Joint
Secretary, Treasurer, PRO and Media In Charge
Duties of Officers
Patron The Principal of the College will act as Patron of The Alumnae Association. She will provide all sorts
of support ( Financial and Secretarial ) to the Alumnae Association.
President - The president of the Association shall be its chief executive. The President Shall preside at all
meetings of the Association and the meetings of Executive Committee. The President shall represent the
Association in all functions and activities . The President, with the advice and consent of the Executive
Committee, shall frame sub committees of the Association when required.
Vice President : - The Vice President shall be an assistant to the President of the Association, and in the
absence of the President, shall exercise the power of the President, and shall serve on the Executive
Committee.
General Secretary- The General Secretary shall be chief assistant to the Association. She will keep minutes
of all Association meetings . She will be the Chief Financial Officer of the Association and has to manage the
daily operations of the Aluminae office .
Secretary and Joint Secretary- The Secretary and Joint Secretary will help the General Secretary in
rendering informations to all members about the meetings and other extension activities . They will also make
necessary arrangements for meetings and extension activities.

Treasurer The Treasurer will Keep records of fund generated by membership subscription, expenditures in
conducting activities and display budget infront of members of Internal wing of AARWC( GARIMA) and
Executive Committee meetings and also see for its auditing.
PRO and Media In Charge The PRO and Media In charge will keep records of the meetings and activities
and send the Press Releases to the News Agencies .
Term of Officers - The term of officers as President, Vice President , General Secretary and other office
bearers shall be two years.
ARTICLE V- NOMINATION - The officers and members of Executive Committee will be selected by
Nomination every two years ,
ARTICLE VI - MEETINGS –
MEETINGS OF INTERNAL WING OF AARWC(GARIMA) -There shall be 2-6 meetings of members of
Internal wing of AARWC( GARIMA) per Year.
MEETINGS OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF AARWC (GARIMA) There shall be at least
two meetings of Executive Committee per year .
If any member or Office bearer fails to attend continuously 2 meetings her membership will be ceased. Her
post and assignments can be handed over to other active member .
ARTICLE VII- AMENDMENTS
The By-laws may be amended at any annual meeting of the Association (Internal Wing/ Executive
Committee) by a two-thirds vote of those present . In case any amendment is made, it should be informed and
approved by the Principal of the College.
The resolution shall be taken regarding amendements, extension activities, Get to- gether ( Alumnae meet )
programmes in meetings of Internal Wing of AARWC (GARIMA) and Executive Committee with a Quoram
of atleast 1/3 members attending the meeting
ARTICLE VIII- AFFILIATION
Alumnae Association of Ranchi Women’s College (GARIMA) is affiliated to Ranchi Women’s College and its
Authorities.The By-laws of Association must be approved by the Principal of Ranchi Women’s
College,Ranchi
ARTICLE IX- SOURCE OF INCOME The AARWC(GARIMA) will raise funds by following means
a) Membership fee of members of Internal wing of AARWC (GARIMA) –Rs 100-Regular membership/Rs 1000 Life Membership
b) Financial help by the College Administration
c) Donations if Any
ARTICLE X – BANK ACCOUNT (SAVINGS) –For keeping the fund obtained by membership and other
sources ,the Association must operate a Savings Account in Any Nationalized Bank.The Bank account shall be
operated by Secretary and Treasurer of the Association.
ARTICLE XI- AUDITING The Budget of AARWC(GARIMA) is to be audited regularly per year by a
Registered Chartered Accountant appointed by Internal wing of AARWC(GARIMA) /Authorities of RWC

Sports एक ऐसा शब्ि है ष्जसको सुनने से ही शिीि मे ऊजाव का संचाि होिा है। यह एक ऐसी शािीरिक प्रकिया है जो हि मनुमय को चसु्ि िरुुस्ि बनाये िखने में मिि कििा है। हम सभी जानिे है कक एक संगदठि sports की शुरुआि सदियों पहले ग्रीस में हुई थी। ककन्िु ऐसा नही है कक उससे पहले लोग sports नही कििे थे। पाषार् युग मे भी इससे समलिी जुलिी शािीरिक प्रकियाएं होिी थी ंजैस े कक सशकाि के पीछे भागना, िौड़ना, बोझ उठाना, नदियों िालाबों में िैिना इत्यादि।
ििवमान में sports का स्िरूप काफी बिल गया है। क्या अमीि क्या ग़िीब सभी ककसी न ककसी रूप में इससे जुड़ ेिहिे हैं। यह हमािे िन औि मन िोनों को स्िस्थ बनाए िखने में मिि कििा है।पुिाने समय म ेससफव पुरुष ही इसपि अपना एकाधिकाि समझिे थे ककंि ुसमय के साथ आज मदहलाए ंभी पुरुषों के बिाबि खड़ी हैं। पी िी उषा के बाि न जाने ककिनी मदहलाओं ने इस झते्र में िेश का नाम ऊाँ चा ककया है न ससफव भािि ककन्िु पूिे विश्ि मे हम मदहलाओं ने sports का नाम ऊंचा ककया है। आप को जानकि हैिि होगी कक 1980 के िशक में इसी कालेज से 8 लड़ककयों ने अिंििामरीय, िामरीय एि ं ष्जला स्िि की प्रतियोधगिाओं में भाग लेकि न ससफव इस कालेज का बष्कक िेश एि ंप्रिेश(बबहाि) का नाम ऊंचा ककया। आज ये सभी मदहलाएं अपने पैिों पि खड़ी हैं औि अच्छे पिों पि िहकि सिकाि को अपने सेिाए ंिे िही हैं। आप के सलए यह नौकिी पाने का अहम जरिया है। बस आप को शुरुआि किनी है।
एक स्िस्थ औि सशक्षिि मदहला पूिे समाज का आईना होिी है। अिः हम सभी को चादहए कक अपने िन मन को हमेशा कफि िखें िाकक यह हमें समाज मे व्यप्ि हि ििह की बुिाइयों से लड़ने में मिि किेगा।

गंगा असभयान का संककप जािी है. गंगा ही नहीं, सभी जीिनिातयनी नदियां, जलस्रोि िथा पयावििर् संपूर्व विश्ि के सलए धचिंा का विषय है, कहा जािा है कक अगला विश्ि युद्ध पानी के सलए होगा. डॉ िाममनोहि लोदहया भी नदियों को लेकि बेहि धचतंिि िहिे थे. महात्मा गांिी ने गंगा को मा ंका ििजा दिया है. जिाहिलाल नेहरू ने सलखा है कक गंगा ससफव एक निी ही नहीं है. यह भािि की पिंपिा, संस्कृति औि इतिहास का िाहक है. सम्राि अशोक ने गंगा के ककनािे पािसलपुत्र को बसाया. महामना पंडडि मिनमोहन मालिीय की चचाव के बबना भािि के प्रमुख नेिाओं की गंगा- चचाव अघूिी िह जायेगी. उन्होन े गंगा महासभा की स्थापना की औि उसका लक्ष्य िखा अवििल गंगा. उन्होनें चिेािनी िी थी कक अगि गंगा को बांिों में बांिा िो इसका खात्मा होना िय है. आज िही सकंि सबसे बड़ा है. गंगा अगि अवििल बहेगी, िो तनमवल िहेगी. तनमवल गंगा का संककप िेश के प्रत्येक तनमठािान व्यष्क्ि एंि संगठन का िातयत्ि है. मोिी सिकाि ने गंगा निी की सफाई के सलए अलग से मंत्रालय बनाकि 20 हजाि किोड़ रूपये की योजना िैयाि की है. गंगा में प्रिषूर् सामान्य स्िि से 215 गुर्ा ज्यािा है. कोलकािा के िक्षिरे्श्िि में लोग ष्जस पानी में डुबकी लगािे हैं, उसमें बैक्िीरिया का स्िि 198 गुर्ा ज्यािा है. गंगा में िोसमयम 06 पाया जािा है, गगंा जल में इसकी मात्रा सामान्य से किीब 50 गुर्ा ज्यािा थी. िोसमयस के कािर् हमें कई गंभीि बबमारियां हो सकिी है. क्लीन गंगा की शुरूआि 1985 में िाजीि गांिी की सिकाि के समय की गयी थी. िब गंगा एक्शन प्लान बनाया गया था. गंगा को प्रिषूर् मुक्ि किने के सलए वपछले 30 सालों में 48 शहिों औि 5 िाज्यों में 70 से अधिक योजना चलायी गयीं. मान्यिा है कक गंगा को पथृ्िी पि लाने के सलए िाजा भगीिथ ने िषों िक िपस्या की थी. उन्होनें लोकककयार् के सलए इिने कमि सहे. िह आज मैिानी इलाकों में आकाि अत्यंि प्रिवूषि हो गयी है. हमें प्रर् किना चादहए कक हम गंगा की पािनिा को नमि नही ंहोन ेिेगें, िाकक गंगा जल पुन: अमिृ बन सके.
एक रिपोिव के अनुसाि गंगा के ककनािे ष्स्थि प्रिषूर् फैलाने िाले 118 शहिों को धचष्ननि ककया गया है. जादहि है कक गंगा को साफ किने का मिलब है, पहले इन शहिों को साफ किना. यहां के तनिाससयों को बेहिि ििीके से गंगा की सफाई व्यिस्था होने में ककसी को आपष्त्ि नही ंहोगी. नमविा, कृमर्ा, कािेिी, बनमपुत्र औि यमुना नदियां भी िो गंगा की ििह ही या उससे भी अधिक प्रिवूषि है, िो कफि इन नदियों के बािे में भी हमें सोचना होगा. आनेिाली पीढी को इन नदियों की पुिानी भव्यिा िेखनी चादहए.

प्रिानमंत्री निेंद्र मोिी भी गंगा को प्रिषूर् मुक्ि किने के सलए असभयान चलाने की बाि कि चकेु हैं. इस साल जून से इलाहबाि, कानपुि, िािार्सी, सादहबगंज औि निद्िीप सदहि कुल 310 घािों पि एक पायलि परियोजना की शुरूआि हो िही है. इसमें निी से कूड़ा -कचिा तनकालने के सलए नौकाएं िैनाि की जायेंगी. इस कचिे को जामा किने के सलए एक खास जगह िय होगी. शििाह ,सास्कृतिक एंि िासमवक पिंपिाओं के कािर् निी में सष्ममसलि कचिे को तनकालने के सलए नाविकों को स्थानीय शहिी तनकाय की ओि स ेप्रोत्साहन िासश िी जायेगी. गंगा को प्रिषूर्- मुक्ि किन ेके सलए कानून भी बनाये जा सकिे हैं, लेककन जरूिी यह है कक विषाक्ि कचिा डालने िाले उघोगों को इस निी से ििू ककया जाये अौौि ि यह भी सुतनसशधचि ककया जाये कक ससििेज शोिन संयंत्र सही ििह औि पूिी िमिा से काम किे. गगंा की िािा को सहज रूप से बहने दिया जाये. िो िह िेि निी सािा कचिा बहा ले जायेगी औि तनमवल हो जायेगी. गंगा में बने बााँि उसके अवििल प्रिाह में सबसे बड़ी बािा है. हमािे सलए िो गंगा ही सब कुछ है. गंगा को बचाना है, िो गंगोत्री के ग्लेसशयिों को बचाने की धचिंा पहले होनी चादहए. दहमालय से गंगासागि िक लगभग 2507 क कमी की ििूी िय कि बांग्ला िेश में यह पिमा निी के नाम से जानी गयी. पष्श्चम बंगाल में यह हुगली के नाम से जानी जािी है. गंगोत्री गोमुख से चलकि हरिद्िाि, कानपुि, काशी, पिना होकि सुकिानगंज में महवषव जुि ूके आश्रम में आकि जािही कहलाई. गंगा जगि की िािर् हाि है. यही जीिन शष्क्ि है, गंगा का सभी पूजन औि श्राद्ध कमव में आिश्यक है. इसके स्मिर् से िन-मन पवित्र हो जािा है. गंगा यदि सूख गया िो भिािह जल संकि से भािि ही नहीं ितुनयां िबाह हो जायेगी. सबको पवित्र किने िाली बुिी ििह से प्रिवूषि हो गयी है. हम आपने दहिों के सलए गंगा औि पयावििर् की धचिंा ही नहीं कििे औि इससे आपना ही अदहि कि िहे हैं. हमािा किवव्य है कक गंगा की स्िच्छिा के सलए हम सजग सिकव िहें. हम गंगा को कफि से पवित्र औि जीिनिातयनी बनाने में सहयोग किें.
