interpretive and educational signage at An-
gelica Creek Park in conjunction with the
development of the planned Environmental
Education Center. Directional signage will
also be installed.

Pine Creek Watershed Association: 25 years of Lands Protection
Documentation of personal stories of local landowners who have chosen
to protect their land with conservation easements. Landowner stories and
photographs of their land will be published on Oley Hills Alive.
Pike Township will construct a footbridge across Pine Creek and
link Long Lane with Mill Road at the site of a former road
bridge. The township will designate a .3 mile portion of Mill
Road as a walking trail leading to the new township park and
picnic area.

A partnership of seven municipalities led by Upper Hanover
Township and the Upper Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Com-
merce will develop and install a unified system of town gateways,
including wayfinding and identification signs assisting users in lo-
cating outdoor amenities and trail networks.

Berks Conservancy will create, plan, and implement a full component of educa-
tional programs for the Angelica Education Center.

Hay Creek Valley Historical Society is creating an interpretive display
telling the story of iron making using the theme Joanna Furnace, the
people, the products, and the community.
Fricks Lock Study
Colebrookedale Tourist Railroad
The Colebrookedale Railroad Preservation Trust and the Rede-
velopment Authority of Berks County are completing a feasibil-
ity study for the Secret Valley. Tourist rail experience. The Cole-
brookedale Railroad will introduce the rich industrial, Native
American, and geological histories of one of the nations oldest
iron making hubs. This study will be a detailed implementation
plan for the establishment of a railroad passenger excursion from Pottstown to Boyerstown on the Cole-
East Coventry Township is completing a feasibility study
on the adaptive reuse for the historic resources in the
Frick's Lock National Register Historic District. This
project includes economic development, recreation and
heritage resources.

Sourcewater Protection Plan Implementation
The Borough of Boyertown with the help of Berks Conser-
vancy will undertake actions within the Sourcewater Protection
Plan and recommend forest management for Boyertown's wa-
tershed drinking water supply properties, and complete a PA
DCNR approved Forestry Stewardship Plan with invasive spe-
cies management and forest regeneration planning.
