Rules to go by:

1. Always carry with two hands; one on arm and one on base.

2. Always store on low power (objective) with cord wrapped loosely around base.

3. Always store with course focus turned down.4. Never clean with anything other than lens

paper.5. Never use course focus on high power.

Calculating magnification…multiple the power of the lens (10x) times the power of the

objective being used.Ex: on high power (40x), total

magnification = 400x
