ViBe - Virginia Beach Arts District

Executive Summary

Michael Joyner wishes to partner with ViBe to design their custom, modern, mobile-friendly website. This website will offer a distinct value to facilitate future marketing goals desired by the group.

As part of this proposal, Michael will be designing a responsive, mobile-friendly website focused on the client needs. This website will have a clean and modern layout specifically designed to highlight their unique value proposition.

This website will be designed using Bootstrap framework to ensure a seamless user experience across all devices.

Furthermore, Michael Joyner will be creating a new Logo for the client, as well as a new Corporate Identity (CI) Package including; Typefaces, Color Palette, Icon Sets and other relevant items involved in the Identification, Representation, and otherwise Display of the brand to the public or users.

This design of the website will focus on the following items:

- Big, bold banner and clean layout (current website trends) will be used throughout the website to provide the distinct taste preferred by the client.

- Website page(s) will feature long scrolling layouts with clear distinct areas to highlight the different value statements for the client.

- Clearly Identify the different companies already located within the ViBe District.

- An Events page with functional calendar is needed to keep up with local and District events.

- A section to higlight available space for rent, lease and for sale to solicit potential businesses and residents

- The perception and tone of the website should be Vibrant and enticing

- A media page capable of displaying images, videos, news stories, press releases, etc. is desired for the site.

- Blog will be incorporated on the website to allow for regular content posts

ViBe – Virginia Beach Arts District Primary User Persona

NAME: Emily Goland EDUCATION: High School Degree from Provo High in Provo, UT PROFESSION: Artist, Musician, Amateur film-maker ECONOMIC STATUS: $35K Annually AGE: 25 MARITAL STATUS: Single PERSONAL BACKGROUND: Emily grew up with her Mother and Grandmother in Provo Utah. Since childhood, Emily was always involved in the arts and was encouraged to pursue her interests. Emily did attend the Art Institute of Salt Lake City Utah for 2 quarters before dropping out due to lack of financial aid and high tuition rates. In 2012 she started a small studio in her hometown of Provo. She ran this successfully for a number of years before deciding to take her show on the road to seek a new audience for her art. She made the move to Virginia Beach in 2015 and now lives with her High school friend who works as a manager at a local restaurant. Emily is seeking a studio or group of artists to help her on her journey and has recently learned about the ViBe – Arts District and wants to join up

ViBe – Virginia Beach Arts District Secondary Persona

NAME: Erik Longcaster EDUCATION: BS of Business Management from UVA PROFESSION: Real Estate Agent ECONOMIC STATUS: Avg. $112k Annually AGE: 31 MARITAL STATUS: Married PERSONAL BACKGROUND: Erik was born and raised in Chesapeake VA and graduated from Hickory High School in 2002. He went on to study Business Management at the University of Virginia and graduated with a 4 year degree in 2006. His dream was to open his own retail center for personal watercrafts. He found the boat market extremely competitive at the time of a low economy and joined a real estate team in 2008. For seven years Erik has worked under the same broker and now has a chance to open his own brokerage. His Wife Katie who is a Clinical Therapist and an avid artist, has convinced him that he needs to find a target audience that will support them being closer to the shore where they are planning to move. He has recognized some potential in the up and coming ViBe District. Since he has both his Commercial and Residential licenses, he sees an opportunity to create a successful brokerage with this niche audience.
