The latest coating technology applied.

No other treatment for fencing and railing is more thorough than ours. First, our products are hot dip galvanized. Next, they go through a five-step washing and

pre-treatment process, after which theyre oven dried. Then, the powder coating, a dry finishing process, is applied.

Finely ground particles of pigment and resin are electrostatically charged, then melted and fusedonto the metal in a curing room. This eliminates many problems of liquid finishing, such as ventingand filtering.

Whats more, exhaust air from the coating booth is returned to the coating room,making the powder coating process safer and cleaner. And theres no cost of heating and coolingthe make-up air.

Powder coatings dont run, drip or sag, either. Yet, textures can range from smooth towrinkled to matte. As for color, theres no limit. And their resistance to corrosion and fading isincomparable.

As a result, you can be certain that Metalco fencing and railing get the best possibleprotection against rust and corrosion.

PP-PRODUCT PRESENTATIONThe Grigliato railing system utilizes the strength and flexibility of the Grigliato panels from Metalco.The Grigliato System enables us to offer an affordable modular system, which is practical, durableand sturdy. This unique railing system provides a wide variety of design solutions. It can be brightlycolored and configured to be a design feature or it can blend inconspicuously with the surroundings.

The Grigliato panels are ideally suited for retrofitting existing railing systems, which are notin compliance with current building codes.Grigliato is an electro-forged welded steel panel. The panels are hot-dip galvanized accordding to ASTM A 123.Also available as an option is our extremely durable polyester powder finish.

Railing SystemThe Grigliato railing system can span between post supports or be mounted onto structurally suitable elements.An average post spacing of 3-6 to 4-0 for stairs and 3-6 to 4-6 for straight sections is recommended. Thesystem can span up to 12' if optional horizontal supports are used. See the CAD details that follow for additionalinformation. Please contact Metalco for engineering and design assistance when preparing detail solutions.

HandrailsFor railing types we offer as an option these handrail types: channel, square and rectangular tubes. Handrails may befinished to match or contrast with the supports and panels. Wood and other handrail materials can also be specifiedand supplied by Metalco.

Fencing SystemFence posts are of sufficient length to allow for setting into concrete footers. Posts with flanges (base plate) arealso available. The recommended standard fence post spacing is 78" (2OOOmm) apart; however, drawings will callout special spacing when required. In-ground posts may be set in concrete into a hole 12" (303mm) in diameter forterminal posts and 10" (254mm) in diameter for intermediate posts. Concrete should be 6" (152mm) deeper thanposts. Deeper and wider settings may be necessary in some locations. It is recommended that the fence betemporarily erected using 2x 4 supports. After the fence is plumb and level, pour concrete grouting into holes.Installation of some railing systems and customized products may vary.

AI-ASSEMBLY, INSTALLATION Posts can be attached to the structure below in several ways: Using the recessed method, posts are set into cored holes or sleeves and anchored with non-shrink grout.

Using the surface mount method, mounting plates attached to each post are expansion bolted to thestructure below.

In the face mount method, the railing posts are mounted to the face of the structure typically below the levelof the walking surface.

10-Year Limited WarrantyMetalco fencing systems are free from defects in material and workmanship.The hot-dip galvanized coating can leave minor impurities on the treated surface, i.e., flashing, drips, drops, etc.These do not impair the coating in terms of corrosion resistance. The polyester coated galvanized metal isguaranteed not to rust, crack, peel or blister for a period of 10 years. Accidental damages, defects resulting fromimproper installation and damage from vandalism or abuse are not included. PP-PRODUCT PRESENTATIONElectro-forged welded steel fencing that is galvanized and powder polyester coated. Thepanels are made of an electro-forged wire mesh. The vertical rods are placed (sandwiched) between two horizontalrods. The rods are electro-forged welded at each crossing. The standard panel length is 8-3. The Cordone panels areavailable in different mesh sizes and different material strengths. The panels are prefabricated for heights from 2 to8. Heights of more than 8 are accomplished by combining panels with a different or equal height. Special panels forcorners with different angles are available on request. The posts are made of square tubular steel of different sizesdepending on the required overall height. The panels are mounted onto the front of the posts with pre-assembledmounting brackets or with a pre-assembled lock bar. All post-panel connections are utilizing a patented nylon settingto reduce rattling noise caused by wind, vibrations or other sources. AI-ASSEMBLY, INSTALLATIONFence posts are of sufficient length to allow for setting into concrete footers. Posts with flanges (base plate) are alsoavailable. The fence post spacing is 8-3 (2510mm) apart on center. However, drawing will call out special spacingwhen required or to adjust for end pieces. In-ground posts may be set in concrete into hole 12 (303mm) in diameter forterminal posts and 10 (254mm) in diameter for intermediate posts. Concrete should be 6 (152mm) deeper than posts.Deeper and wider settings may be necessary in some locations. It is recommended that the fence be temporarily erectedusing 2x 4 supports. After the fence is plumb and level, pour concrete grouting into holes.The panels are mounted onto the front of the posts with pre-assembled mounting brackets or with a pre-assembledlock bar. The panels simply snap into the bracket or lock bar. The brackets or lock bar bolts shall be tightened withratchet and hex sockets or with a power tool and hex sockets. Corner can be made in the field by simply cutting thehorizontal rod with a bolt cutter on one side of the panel. This allows the panel to be bent to any angle required.Installation of this fencing system is quick and easy.Posts can be attached to the structure below in several ways:Using the recessed method, posts are set into cored holes or sleeves and anchored with non-shrink grout.Using the surface mount method, mounting plates are attached to each post and bolted to the structure below utilizingexpansion bolts or other fastening systems. Using the face mount method, the posts are mounted to the face of thestructure typically below the level of the walking surface.

MF-MATERIALS, FINISHESThermosetting Polyester Powder FinishMetalco fence and railing panels are protected by what we believe is the best finish available today. The computercontrolled hot-dip galvanizing and the thermosetting polyester powder finish give the Metalco system thehighest possible protection against rust and corrosion. The advanced polyester powder coating technology isenvironmentally friendly (no solvents, lead-free) and offers a large color selection.

ColorsEight standard colors are available: white, black, blue, green, red, yellow, gray and brown. Additionally we offer analmost unlimited selection of custom colors. The polyester powder coating is available for all our products includingoversized parts i.e. large gates.

15-Year Limited WarrantyMetalco fencing systems are free from defects in material and workmanship. The polyester-coated galvanizedmetal is guaranteed not to rust, crack, peel or blister for a period of 15 years. Accidental damages, defects resultingfrom improper installation and damage from vandalism or abuse are not included. Warranty is limited to prorated value of the coating, not to exceed the original value of the coating.
