The Pastor’s Corner

Growing Deeply, a daily scripture guide

By Rev. Charity Goodwin-Rosario

Fellow Faith Journeyers:

What a blessing to be here with you as we walk into a

new beginning. I have the privilege of serving alongside

you as we grow deeply in Christ. One way we do that is

by reading and applying scripture. Last Sunday Rev. Kendall

introduced Growing Deeply, a daily scripture guide. The

guide roots us in the scripture from the sermon as well as

prepares our hearts for the sermon that is come. Simply

put, scriptures Monday through Wednesday highlight

the sermon you’ve heard. Thursday through Saturday

scriptures will ready us for the following week’s message.

I create these each week and I pray they help to shape QT

(quiet time) with God. Use them individually, in your family

for devotional times, with your co-workers, and/or in

groups here at church. Know that when the body of Christ

studies and prays together, we experience God’s grace.Allow that grace to till your heart soil, grow your roots

deeper and blossom in to sweet fruit.

You are encouraged to post Growing Deeply on your

refrigerator or place in your Bible. If you’re a tekkie, you

can access it at www.moumc.org/grow. Copies are also

available in the Connector and in the church ofce for pick

up.

Growing deeply,

Pastor Charity
