Dear prospective team:

Since OneHockey began back in 2004 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, we have seen our program grow from 6 teams to 106 teams this past year and provide the local area of the tournament with over two million in revenue each year. We have hosted over 10 countries, thousands of youth hockey players, families, coaches and scouts from around the world.

OneHockey, is the world’s largest international youth hockey tournament hosting players who are elite and born from 1992 to 2002.

The kids who participate in OneHockey are leaders in their sport and leaders in their home communities.

As a former professional player, and an active hockey player in my youth, I know how important it is to continually learn new skills and establish experience playing for select teams. Through OneHockey, players are able to learn from others across the country or across the ocean. They are able to play for a select team and make international friendships. For those players who need financial help to participate we are proud to provide a scholarship fund which in part recognizes your sponsorship support.

I encourage you to apply with your team(s) and you may be selected to take part in our International tournament and give your players, coaching staff and parents, an experience of a lifetime.

I thank you consideration

Sincerely,

Sebastian Fortier

President of OneHockey

Sebastien Fortier’s father, Geatan Fortier started the Sherbrooke International Bantam Tournament in 1989 that was known internationally as the world’s largest and best organized hockey tournament. Geatan Fortier built this successful international tournament on the vision of improving youth hockey and providing an international forum for learning and friendships. Many professional hockey players such as Alex Ovechkin, Danial Zubrus, Yanick Perrault and many more played in his tournaments.

Geatan Fortier not only provided a stepping stone for international hockey but he provided much needed resources to the Sherbrooke, Quebec community to include athletic funds and scholarships as well as hospital donations for advancements. Improving hockey and improving the community was an important part of his mission. After retiring in 1999, he chose to consult for his son Sebastian, who has taken on the task of continuing his father’s legacy by starting OneHockey International Tournament.

The vision for OneHockey is to establish the world’s best attended international Elite Hockey Tournament in the world. The mission of OneHockey is to bring elite level hockey players, families, coaches and scouts to an event that will provide exposure to different coaching techniques and improve the youth hockey program both domestically and abroad.

2010 Pre Event Press Release

OneHockey will be hosting our 7th annual AAA Summer Hockey Tournament inAston, Pennsylvania located just south of Philadelphia in June/July of 2010. Thetournament will host over 200 quality AAA teams from all over the world. The 1998 -2002 will complete from July 1,2,3 & 5 while the 1992-1997 will hit the ice from July 710.

The OneHockey International AAA Summer Tournament is the number onesummer hockey event, with top competition, scouting and networking opportunitiesfor teams, players, vendors and coaches. In 2009, teams and players from over 10Countries participated.

OneHockey is building a reputation on its ability to expose young players to scoutsand showcase the most prominent youth hockey talent from all over North America& Europe by recruiting elite players from teams representing different states, provinces, countries and continents.

Team OneHockey allows each player to independently try out for a OneHockeynamed team. This process of developing state, provincial, or regional teams has proven to be a great experience for the players who; are surrounded by top talentfrom around the area, meet new friends, get exposed to new ideas and receiveguidance from new coaches who communicate techniques related to on and off-icehockey training.

This year OneHockey will allow TOP independent AAA winter teams to enter under the OneHockey colors. Each year we attract stronger competition. This type of environment also enables scouts to analyze how a player handlesunfamiliar situations, much like the experience on a national team or a pro-team, ata young age. This enables players to play with new teammates and adapt toplaying with players of equal or greater skill.

We strongly believe that OneHockey will deliver an experience of a lifetime by combining the best players in the world, scouts, top vendors and an exciting environment for all ages.

I look forward to watching you in Aston, Pennsylvania this summer.
