By the “Grace of Almighty” MESCO Education Society (MES) is managing Crescent English High School at Kausa Mumbra. The School is a result of collective efforts and support of many individuals and trusts, who believe that providing Quality Education to students of our society, is the need of the hour and a service to the society. As always said, “A child without education is like a bird without wings”. Crescent English High School has come to be reputed as one of the best schools in the area. All 9 batches of SSC (that appeared from 2006 to 2014) scored 100% result. For last 4 years, the school has been getting 'A' Grade Certificate from the Maharashtra State Secondary and Higher Secondary Board of Education, Pune. The demand for first level (Nursery Class) admission in our school increases every year, last year we received applications 4 times than the number of vacancies. The area of Kausa / Mumbra requires many such educational institutions that provide quality education and can cater to many more students. In the month of October 2014, we came across a Tender Notice by Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), inviting Educational Institutions to bid for a Reserved Plot for primary and secondary School at Kausa / Mumbra (near upcoming TMC Stadium and 100 beds Hospital). The total area of the said plot is 54,358 Sq. ft. As per the tender document, the Base Premium of the said plot was Rs. 66,66,000/- The said plot was available for 30 years lease (with a renewable option) on rent of Re.1/- per annum. The market value of the said plot is approximately Rs. 15 Crores. With an intention to establish another A+ quality Educational Institution, MES submitted the tender along with our Financial Bid of Rs. 1,75,00,000/- (Rupees One Crores Seventy Five Lacs) for the said plot on 31st October, 2014. On 16th December 2014, TMC opened the tenders and we were declared the second highest bidder with an offer of Rs.1.75 crores. The highest bidder won bid for another plot as well. TMC decided to allot only one plot for one bidder. Therefore the highest bidder opted for other plot. So the plot is now allotted to us, subject to match the highest bid of Rs. 3,10,00,111/-. We know that it is not within our reach to pay the said price (Rs. 3,10,00,111/-) but we are sure that if Trusts and individuals could help us, we could raise this amount, as there is a deadline to raise this amount within the next 3 to 5 years.
