Making a Difference for Every Generation
New Funds Established in 2016New Funds Established in 2016
Message from the Director:
Our donors and friends accomplish emotional and compelling work through
this Foundation. They are the gears that spin our wheels, the engines that
power good things.
In 2016, over $93,000 was awarded in Foundation scholarships.
Designated and unrestricted grants totaled nearly $200,000, and college
students received loans of over $90,000. Once again, we humbly accepted
donations over $1,000,000, making all of our work possible.
Those numbers are indicative of our members’ love of community and
desire to impact the lives of children, seniors, graduates, veterans,
charitable organizations and initiatives, those who are young and old,
healthy or troubled, blessed or struggling.
Daily, I’m reminded of your remarkable generosity, leadership and support.
My belief in this community-of-giving swells, and your good deeds inspire.
I thank you now and always for your commitment, dedication and passion
to spin your desires into dollars that help our special corner of the world,
and into initiatives that improve lives. Our shared vision unites people,
allowing us to do more good than any of us could ever do alone.
Sincerest thanks for another incredible year,
Carol Hone Evelyn Vian
Executive Director Office Admin.

Each year, we honor our Foundation Friends
with the Spring Luncheon. One of our
Project Fund-holders, the Grand Lake
Symphony, entertained at this gathering where we celebrated our mission
and spirit. Pictured are orchestra members, Dean Schweizer, Becky
Anderson and Jim Huckemeyer, director .
