Welcome to the first edition of our occasional “True Believers” Sports Update newsletter. We trust it will keep you abreast of our current, and future, tour program and maybe entertain you a little too.

Referred to as Australian sport’s greatest rivalry, the State of Origin series remains

one of our premier sporting events, attracting a huge television audience and usually playing before sold out stadiums. Despite the existence of international tournaments, and Origin being a domestic competition, it is frequently cited as being the highest-level played anywhere in the rugby league world.

This year Queensland look like fielding a largely unchanged outfit whilst New South

Wales wrestle with the perennial problem of their halves combination. An added twist see`s the second match being played on neutral territory in Melbourne, arguably our sporting capital.

THE AUSSIE OPEN …more than just tennis!

Racing continues to enjoy great popularity and this year we again feature our Darwin

Cup and Melbourne Cup/Derby tours. Darwin offers a unique laidback atmosphere and is one of our favourite race weeks, and the Melbourne Spring Carnival goes from strength to strength, maintaining it`s iconic status. We`ve just had confirmation that the “Big Marn”, Darryl Brohman will be joining us at the Cup this year, so lots of laughs are assured.

The big news is that we have added the Gold Coast`s Magic Millions in January `16 to our stable. This meeting will become Australia`s richest with over $10 million prize money, a staggering $2.5 mill of which is offered for the feature race.

We did a reconnaissance mission to 2015`s event, and can highly recommend attending. A top days racing is guaranteed, and a chance for the girls to “frock up” in their best summer gear without having to worry about the vagaries of the weather down south.

by scaring every United supporter he saw in the street in a Man U jersey. He would swerve his van as if to hit them, then swerve back just missing them.

One day while driving along, he saw a priest. He thought he would do a good deed, so he pulled over and asked the priest, “Where are you going, Father?”

“I’m going to give Mass at St. Francis church, about two miles down the road,” replied the priest.

he had missed the guy, he still heard a loud THUD. not knowing where the noise came from, he glanced in his mirrors but still didn’t see anything.

He then remembered the priest, and he turned to the priest and said, “sorry Father, I almost hit that Manchester United supporter.

“That’s OK,” replied the priest “I got him with the door.”
