Our Mission
Monti Club JO's main focus is to teach girls the
fundamentals of volleyball while fostering a
love for the game. We strive to promote team
unity, skill development, healthy competitive
attitudes, sportsmanship and loyalty to the
players.
Future Board Openings
• With several of our board members in their fourth year, there could be openings.
Any openings will be communicated in March or April.
• Please reach out to any board member if you have any questions or would like to
learn more.
Additional Events
• Feedback from last year was overwhelming in favor of adding more events.
• U10/11 increased to 6 events and U12 increased to 7 events.
• Teams have the option to add events if they are paid for by the team. This is left
up to the families and coach of each team.
Code of Conduct
• Monti Club will follow the NCR Code of Conduct.
• Each coach may have a team specific Code of Conduct.
Proper Game Attire
• Everyone must wear the jersey purchased through the club.
• Cannot alter the jersey in any way.
• Provide your own shorts, but must have at least a 3 inch inseam.
• Provide your own knee pads, socks and shoes.
Coaching
One of the more exciting parts of JO volleyball is the learning new skills, techniques,
and strategies. Most of the time these new skills, techniques, and strategies are
shown to players by a coach they have never played for, or even met before. These
coaches may challenge the players by asking them to play a new position or
introduce them to a new type of offense or defense. The players and parents should
be excited to learn from coaches with different volleyball backgrounds and
philosophies. We work very hard to find talented coaches to bring to our program to
help our players grow.
Team Managers
This year we are suggesting a parent on each team to volunteer to act as a
team manager.
• Work closely with the coach to get practice and game schedules out to
players and parents.
• Could also help set up extra events if asked.
Adding a Third Team vs Cutting Players
• Have placed every player who has tried out over the past three years.
• Will continue to add a third team in an age bracket in order to have a
place for all players.
• This third team will often be more of a developmental team.
North Central Region (NCR) Registration
• NCR is a governing body for youth volleyball.
• Past years we registered with NCR as a Club (fee was part of the cost to play).
• NCR is now requiring individual memberships be paid directly to them.
• They will collect $50 through their Sport Engine website.
• We have adjusted our fees to reflect that each player is charged directly by NCR.

How Teams Are Determined
Recommendations from evaluators
• Board will use Evaluator’s Ratings to anonymously place players on teams.
• Based on the number of players there may be an ‘A’ team, a ‘B’ team, even a ‘C’ team.
• We will do everything possible to find a team for everyone.
• Based on numbers it is possible that players may be asked to “play up.”
• High School age groups will be evaluated for an “advanced” team. This team could
consist of different age players and will play at the level of the oldest team member.
How Teams Are Determined
Notification will be complete by November 25, 2018
