Micro5
Where small parts require dynamic and high-precision machining, the Micro5 has caused a mini revolution. The FACTORY5 machining center with four or five axes is extremely compact and can be set up very quickly almost anywhere – in the production area or directly in the workplace. The 5 in the name stands for the ideal 5:1 ratio of machine size to workpiece, for five times lower weight and for maximum efficiency: Energy consumption is 50 times lower in comparison to conventional systems. For networked production, the Micro5 can be incorporated into the innovative digital FACTORY5 platform.

Minimum tolerances of a few μm and top surface quality: You can meet these requirements with the FZ 08 S five axis in stable, economic process. The compact machining center has a two-axis tilt rotary table in BC kinematics with a main-tenance-free torque drive; tools are changed quickly and automatically with the pick-up method. The workpiece is positioned exactly in the center of the swivel axes. This minimizes compensating movements of the linear axes and ensures the required surface quality and precision.

The machining centers for the CHIRON series 12 S five axis combine these stipulations and are ranked the best in their class in terms of speed, compact design and versatility. Using the proven travel column design of the FZ 12 S five axis, workpieces with high surface quality can be manufactured in a clamping arrangement. The DZ 12 S five axis with two-axis tilt rotary table and two face plates performs five-axis simultaneous operations using high-performance control options.

In a world of first part = good part, the aim here is to achieve process stability so as to further reduce batch sizes and thereby ensure that the first part to be produced is always correctly dimensioned. This requirement is becoming increasingly important, especially where complex and expensive components, such as those for centrifuges and precision scales, take a long time to machine. Stable and precise complete machining in one set-up with high process reliability and quality – this is where the MT 733 series comes into its own.
