Thank you to our sponsors
The Art Business Conference 2016 1
I am delighted to welcome over 200 art businesses and organisations, with
320 attendees from across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and the USA.
I would like to thank all our speakers for their valuable contributions
and for taking time in their hectic schedules to prepare for today, with a
special thank you to our returning conference chair, Georgina Adam.
I would also like to thank all of this year’s sponsors and partners, and
I appreciate your generous support of this important initiative for the
art market.
Now in its third year, the aim of the conference is simple: to bring
together art market professionals to discuss the key issues affecting the
global art world, and to share insights and practical knowledge that we
hope will prove useful for your business. During the various networking
and refreshment breaks, the conference will also offer opportunities to
meet new and existing contacts from different sectors of the art market.
And new for 2016, I am delighted to introduce two dedicated networking
spaces, the Business Pavilion and the Art Tech Pavilion.
I hope you enjoy this year’s conference, and if there are ways in
which we can improve your 2017 conference experience, I would like to
hear from you. We are already reviewing topics for next year’s conference.
If you have any suggestions, please get in touch at:

The Art Loss Register is the international due diligence database used by the art trade, currently listing 500,000 items. It provides an opportunity for police forces, insurers and theft victims to register stolen, looted and fake art and antiques; for lenders to record security interests; and for law firms to record legal claims or interests. The Art Loss Register searches 400,000 items moving through the international art market against its database each year and, working closely with law enforcement, plays a vital role in the recovery of stolen art worldwide.
Lund Humphries has been a leading publisher of illustrated art books for over 60 years. Its series of Handbooks in International Art Business is published in association with Sotheby’s Institute of Art, and offers essential reference tools for collectors, students and professionals.

Our searchable, sortable, free database with ratings and reviews includes thousands of art companies across dozens of categories in major US and European markets.
