What is Mechanical Engineering?

Deals with the technology of electricity. Electrical engineers work on components, devices and

systems such as microchips and power station generators.Examples: Security system, lighting point, electrical

substation.

What is Electrical Engineering?

Client comes out with conceptual brief. Architect provide schematic design. Meeting consist of:

PROCESS OF A PROJECT

C&S engineer design road and drainage, retaining wall, sewerage. C&S engineer designs the frame of building by coordinating with

the M&E engineer. Building plan ready and submitted to local authority for approval.QS prepare the bill of quantity

to incorporate the requirements in the tender documentation.M&E engineer prepares the schedule of prices for tenderer.Tenderer

issues the tender documents and drawingsanalyse the given documents before construction process starts.

Constructions can be started after appointing a contractor.Site meetings

to discuss details of the process such as Clarification and suitable ways for installation.

Testing and Commissioning: Check, inspect and test project component.

C.C.C (Certificate of Completion Compliance) is issued

Roles of Mechanical & Electrical Engineers in construction:
