organisaons and due to the number of prizes was held over to the first working
day of the new library – Tuesday 12th

Measham To Atherstone (No 7 Bus)
Organisers of the campaign to keep the above bus service running have asked us to print a metable
(see below) in the hope that the school holidays may see increased useage, parcularly to use the
respecve Leisure Centres. NB; Atherstone Leisure Centre has a swimming pool; ideal in recent
condions. They appreciate the fact not everyone has access to a car ,especially during the day so it is
an ideal opportunity to hop on the bus for a 40 minute journey to access acvies. Likewise for an
even shorter journey, hop on to go to Twycross Zoo. NB: The Zoo has a restricted /metable re bus
service.

Youth Workers Say Farewell To Youth Centre Local Youth Workers Dawn Christian and Angela Peach held a farewell Party including
the obligatory speeches and refreshments on July 14th to celebrate their work over recent
years with Measham Youth Centre and indeed their work in the village re the Youth Club/
Centre for the past 10 years and indeed Dawn before that with Leisure Connection.
Due to day time commitments it is with heavy heart Dawn and Angela have decided not
to run the proposed Tea Time Club mentioned in their farewell letter of May’s Issue.
They are keen to stress that the Management Committee are still committed to running the
Friday night Youth Club, so there will be still some activities for the youth of the village.
We as Editors would personally like to congratulate Dawn and Angela on their work and
dedication for the Community and on a personal note would like to wish them all the best;
we personally do not know Angela but we can certainly give testament to Dawn’s tireless
energy over the last 20 years of knowing her.
Congratulations and Good Luck Both!
