The analysis:From analyzing the characters behavior from the previous pages – we are able to

collect information about the character ‘Alan Wake’.

As he’s a 31 year old male, from New York City – we can gather he’s use to over-

crowding and busy cities. When comparing this information with his other certain

aspects – such as his tone/gestures/proxemics – we can assume he’s sick of the city life

and it has made him quite bitter and cynical about the world around him.

Continuing on from this – Alan’s proxemics is restrained to two people. His manager

Barry and his wife Alice. His clothing style and colour is basically monochromatic

in the terms that it doesn’t draw too much attention in anyway you look at it.

With a mix of greys and blacks, Alan doesn’t like to draw much

attention to himself and likes to keep a small profile. Often short

tempered and stubborn due to years of substance abuse and paparazzi.

In conclusion, Alan Wake’s behaviors borderline on the ‘lonely’ side (with the exception of his wife and best friend). With a cynical at-titude against the world, his snide and sarcastic comments create a troubled character who we cant help to like.
