Introduction of AMCF Reference Manual
u Establishment of MCF
l The mission of the Association of Military Christi-an Fellowships is to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to military men and women of every nation of the world.(1.26)
l The goal of the AMCF is that every country in the world have an MCF and that it become mature and effective.(1.27)
l We can achieve the goal by several activities such as praying, reaching out, meeting together, com-municating, teaching and encouraging and cooper-ating(1.32~41)
l MCF begins when two or more military Christians from the same nation meet for fellowship, prayer, Bible study and witness.(1.42)
Introduction of AMCF Reference Manual(Continued)
l A group is recognized as an MCF when it takes a name and choose a leader.(1.42)
l In many nations it may be necessary for military Christians to maintain only informal links with one another(1.42)
Introduction of AMCF Reference Manual(Continued)
l Any MCF or contact may request association
with the AMCF by indicating this informally by
any means to any AMCF officer or staff mem-
ber of ACCTS, MMI, or MSO.
The information will be passed on to the AMCF
President who will provide a reply. A certificate
of association is available for those MCFs
which desire to have one.(1.43)
Introduction of AMCF Reference Manual(Continued)
l Most MCFs have begun as a result of a visit
by some individual from outside the nation
who shares the MCF concept, frequently by
reporting what God is doing with military in
other places.(5.4)
l The national MCF is totally independent,
autonomous, and self supporting financially.
(5.5)
Introduction of AMCF Reference Manual(Continued)
u Growth of MCF l Growth results naturally or as the result of a plan.
Natural growth occurs when members of the
group invite a friend or acquaintance, or when a
member is transferred and decides to start a new
group. This form of growth is usually slow and at-
trition may overtake the growth. Planned effort
generally results in faster growth.(5.6)
Introduction of AMCF Reference Manual(Continued)
l Planned efforts for growth(5.6)
- Preparation
- Contacting possible Members
- Setting up and running an MCF
(Organize MCFs Exchange of Inform, select
leaders, P&P, MCF introduction, Prepare bro-
chure, Establish local chapters, Prepare a constitu-
tions and by laws)
Introduction of AMCF Reference Manual(Continued)
l All efforts to establish an MCF should be co-
ordinated with any military chaplains plus the mil-
itary and civil authorities, as appropriate.(5.6)
