Calming the Storm:

a biblical model of prayer New sermon series Beginning June 7th

One day, as Jesus and the Apostles were traveling across the Sea of Galilee, they encountered a horrific storm. The Apostles were petrified. In their fear, they turn to Jesus looking for deliverance. Jesus stands and simply rebukes the wind and the waves, seeming to answer the apostle’s prayer (Luke 8:23-25). Marveled, they asked themselves, “Who is this man? When he gives a command, even the wind and waves obey him!” How marvelous it would be if the Lord would remove all our difficulties! Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Jesus would rebuke the storms and trials we face in our life? How do we get Jesus to calm our storm? How should we pray? We will be exploring some answers to these questions in our new sermon series, “Calming the Storm: a biblical model of prayer”. We hope you can join us for the new series that begins June 7.
