• It was discussed that steering committee continue as a program level advisory body to the SELPA Leadership, to help inform the work of the SELPA.

• Moving to 2020-2021, steering will be identified as the SELPA Professional Learning Community (PLC).

• When we meet in September we will be PLC the meeting formerly know as Steering.

Significant Disproportionality: Federal Mandate• State Performance Plan Technical Assistance Project (SPP-TAP)

offering sessions May 13 and May 14 for “Moving our Work Forward” a CDE virtual session providing guidance and tools to supporting ongoing development and implementation of the Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CCEIS).• CDE will be sharing strategies and pacing recommendations based on

the current due date of November 16, 2020 for the CCEIS plan completion.

The SELPA has completed the 2020-21 Local Budget and Service Plans as part CDE’s yearly process around SELPAs

Due to substantive and procedural changes, this year’s local plan process has been….. A “learning experience”.

• The budget plan shows approximately $32,280,000 in state and federal revenue with approximately $53,9870,000 in expenditures.

• The service plan indicates special education support at 138 unique sites, this includes the County Office, schools of the districts, and 18 NPS facilities

• Services were provided in 35 of the 49 recognized categories.

distancing measures are still in place, then meetings will occur via ZOOM.

As of May 11th, SEIS is still not updating to CALPADS. They have

paused this synchronization to fix the duplicate SPED transaction error (SPED0375). We are waiting on

further updates from SEIS on when this will resolved.

While waiting to begin CALPADS EOY 3 and 4 reporting, which has to wait for

the above to be corrected, we ask that DLUs and the rest of your local SPED team work on ensuring that

outstanding IEP issues are resolved and that they are affirm/attested in

SEIS.

If you are a high school district, please continue updating post-secondary

information in SEIS

All districts should be in contact with any NPS schools where students are

placed and seeking updated discipline and related reports so that this data can be reported to CALPADS as well.
