• Social pediatrics aims growth monitoring of infants /children, nutritional surveillance, breast feeding promotion, regular health check ups of infants

MCH aims at reducing maternal and infant mortality as well as morbidity

MALNUTRITION is common problem of both mothers and children – addressed by MCH

Tetanus neonatorum,TB, diphtheria, hepatitis need to be checked

ORS & diarrhea prevention program. Diarrhea major cause of infant deaths, morbidity & malnutrition, hence education in personal hygiene and child care

MCH refers to comprehensive medical care comprising promotive, preventive ,curative and rehabilitative services for mothers and children including family health planning
