The Good Samaritan Center is asking for donations of jelly in February.
Adult Education Series: The next Pivotal Player will March 5 and 12 – G. K. Chesterton. Bishop Robert Barron’s CATHOLICISM: The Pivotal Players showcases a handful of saints, artists, mystics, and scholars who not only shaped the life of the Church but changed the course of western civilization. Journey with Bishop Barron to explore the lasting influence of these Pivotal Players.
Will or Estate Planning Are you thinking of putting St. Michael Church in your will or estate plans? A bequest through a Last Will and Testament is the simplest way of creating a lasting legacy of support for St. Michael Church. St. Michael Catholic Women will hold a special meeting on Wed., Feb. 22, at 7:00 pm to discuss plans for the first Lenten Lunch on Ash Wednesday, March 1.
St Michael Women’s Study Group: The Bible Study for the winter is Living in the Power of the Holy Spirit The study runs 9 weeks but each session stands alone so plan on
joining us for all or some of the classes. We meet on Friday, after the 8:15 Mass. If you have any questions, contact Arlene Borkowski at (304) 482-1186.
Parish School of Religion: In today's Gospel, Jesus asks us to go beyond treating others as we want to be treated. He asks us to care for each other as God does. Our next CHILDREN’S MASS will be next Sunday. Please have the students here by 8:45 a.m., we will process in, and sit together. Grades 3-5, will be participating.
St. Michael Youth Group: We will be returning to the Bogdan’s on Sunday night from 6:00-7:30. The address is 1210 Greenmont Circle – just a half mile from the Church. See you Sunday night.
Starting March 5, watch the Bulletin for the various Minis-tries within the Church and the Community. Lent is a time of prayer, fasting and almsgiv-
ing, so take the time in the next few weeks to think about how this Lent can help us continue our Parish Outreach.
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
St. Michael will have Reconciliation every Tuesday and Thursday during Lent from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Learn to Read Music Come to St. Francis Xavier every Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 pm to attend FREE classes in basic music. Topics will cover the science, history, facts, and theory of music with the goal of developing skills in reading and understanding it. Open to everyone from beginners to those wanting to im-prove their proficiency, the classes require no previous expe-rience or training. Attendance is free of charge with no obli-gation.
