Prayer of Confession You, O God, are our redeemer and we confess that we are a people of dust and ashes. You have written your Word upon our hearts, yet we often pretend that we don’t know you. Today’s Sunday School Offerings

ALL Beginning at 10:30 am

1) Adult Lenten Experiences with Prayer. Is Prayer always knowing how to say the rights words? Maybe not. People throughout the world experience prayer in many ways, and we will look at a few of those over four weeks in Lent. This week, Praying with the Body. What is walking prayer? What is a labyrinth? Can we, like children, use gestures when we’re praying? In the Mission Room.

2) Faith Lessons on the Death and Resurrection of the Messiah, focuses on the last week of Jesus’ life, his

death and resurrection, and the Holy Spirit’s visit on Pentecost. Being a follower of Jesus does not mean staying away from evil. It means confronting it face to face — just like Jesus did every single day and through his resurrection. In the Emeritus Room.

3) Middle School Sunday School, in the Middle School Room We will be using the Feasting curriculum.

4) Kids’ Sunday School (K - 5): in the Children’s Center. It’s

a great time of energetic worship with Gretchen, interactive storytelling and weekly activities that allow our children to apply their hands, heads and hearts in an act of worship or missions. Its 45 minutes of fun and fellowship. Join us!

Stephen Ministers are members of First Presbyterian Church Northville and First United Methodist Church Northville, trained to walk alongside others who need Christian care. They provide an ongoing and dependable source of comfort and encouragement through times of stress, change, pain, grief or brokenness. They

Our spring dining groups will meet three times from April through June. The members of each group pick the dates they will get together to share a potluck meal. Dine with 9 is a great opportunity to get to know our church family members better while enjoying a delicious meal. You can get more information and sign up during coffee hour in Boll Hall. Tuesday, March 26th, is the date for the new New Horizon outing. We will take an early lunch (11:00-11:30) locally at Bravo in the Haggerty corridor of restaurants. Then on to the Detroit Institute of Arts to view their special exhibit of the art of Diego Rivera, painter of the “Detroit Industry” mural in the main hall of the institute, and of his wife, Frida Kahlo, also a gifted artist. Meet at Boll Hall at 10:45 am...tour fee is $12 with $5 to drivers. Sign-up in Boll Hall Sundays after service through March 22nd.

We are in need of volunteers to serve coffee after church on the following dates: 4/12, 5/3, 5/10 and 5/31. There are also a couple dates in July and August if you know what your summer schedule is at this moment. Please consider spending a couple hours on any of the listed Sundays to set up and serve coffee so that we

Single Place is a non-denominational organization for mature single adults. We meet in Boll Hall each Thurs. evening @ 7pm for various speakers, dinners, cards & games nights, or entertainment. On weekends we host house parties, attend festivals, trivia nights, sports events, plays, day trips, visit museums, etc. or have informal discussion groups on personal & spiritual growth. Traditional First Service, 9:30-10:45am

Non-Traditional Second Service, 11:15-12:00pm

We will celebrate Communion at both services. No Sunday School.

A Message from the Transitional Communication Team

What We Learned

A few years back, we asked the congregation to

identify their priorities for our church by completing two separate

assessments… remember the CAT and NOAH? Or more

importantly, do you know what the results told us?

Those surveys identified six desired changes you would like to see

at FPCN:

Design a Sunday morning schedule to provide for two worship

services with an educational hour in between.

Provide a Christian Education program for all adults and

children.

Establish a Deacon led shepherding program to all members.

Develop of a system of small-groups for fellowship, ministry, and

outreach.

Form a team to provide for communication both within and

outside the congregation.

Create a functioning organizational model to replace the existing

committee structure.

So how are we doing? Next time we’ll look at how church leadership

has been using these guidelines to respond to your priorities to do

our best for God.
