For Covenant, this transformation includes moving from clinical documentation in paper charts to electronic documentation in Meditech for many of our clinical departments. In preparation for this change, the Cove-nant’s CIS department and the SJH Educa-tion Team are assessing computer skills for staff in the affected departments via the 2013 Computer Skills Assessment survey, which is currently available on Health-stream. All managers and directors have the list of staff cost centers required to com-plete the survey. To access the survey:

Go to Covenant’s CAREnet website http://carenet.stjoe.org/ministry/covenant/Pages/default.aspx

Click on the Education Tab

Click on Healthstream

Click on the Catalog tab

In the Search field, type 2013 Com-puter Skills Assessment and click Search

Click on 2013 Computer Skills Assess-ment

Dear Friends, ―Service is the rent we pay for our room on earth‖ Sr. Madaleva’s reflection card message caused me to ask how I pay my rent…how we all pay our rent…how St. Joseph paid his. We are called to serve in the manner of St. Joseph. Husband, father and craftsman, he gave himself in loving and generous service to Jesus and Mary, and to all those around him. He had many an occasion to feel angry, hurt, confused and threatened. Still, he believed that each day is to be lived by God’s power and strength no matter what challenges it might bring. As I reflect on Joseph, I am mindful of the service you give daily in pursuit of our mission of extending the healing ministry of Jesus in the tradition of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange. I am mindful that there are many ―Josephs‖ among you, men and women convinced that every interaction is a unique opportunity to serve one another, the community and society. You ―Josephs‖ are models for us. Your service is an expression of your dignity and a gift you give us each day as we minister together. As we celebrate the feast of St. Joseph, I want to challenge us with the words of our late friend and colleague Jack Glaser to make our service such that it will allow ―persons to go from this encounter more healed, more whole, and more able to live, to love, to hope and to die.‖ Thank you for being part of St. Joseph Health. The members of St. Joseph Health Ministry are grateful for you and feel privileged to serve this ministry with you as colleagues.

Sincerely,

Sister Suzanne Sassus, CSJ Chair St. Joseph Health Ministry
