• Established in 2008 through merging the Innovation Relay Centre and European Information Centre, with additional support for Research & Development (R&D) initiatives including FP7 & Eurostars
• Funded in part by the European Commission’s Competitiveness and Innovation Programme
• Global Reach covering 50 Countries 600 offices 5,000 staff

European Policy Feedback Service
• EU Consultations We keep businesses up to date on open consultations and invites you to take
part in shaping European legislation by responding to a consultation on a range of important topics.
• Business Panels We actively engage with companies to receive feedback on selected
consultations and host a series of business consultation panels which enables businesses to give us their opinion on legislative proposals and influence their direction.
• SME Feedback We can help you tackle regulatory barriers when doing business abroad

Case Study: Hypha Discovery
•In 2009 Hypha Discovery was skeptical to apply for Research and Development Funds from the EC because of their complexity.T hey also did not hold contracts with big pharma industry.
•Hypha received one-to-one support with their application from EEN consultants
•Hypha participated in 2 company mission with EEN.
•Hypha posted 1 Technology Profile with EEN
Results for the company:
•2 new contracts: commercial agreement with Novartis and technology agreement with Evotech Germany
•2 successful FP7 Applications worth £700k EC grant funding.
•On-going support 1 FP7 application.

Case Study: Quotien • Sector: software and ICT services and systems for the financial services.
• Due to IPR issues in FP7 the company was unlikely to go for this type of funding.
• EEN helped Quotien with:– Business Plan and investment readiness support– Networking with HNWI as investors that resulted in a Series A £400k investment in
2010 and a private placement in 2011 from 2 HNWIs of £800k– Support in 2 TSB proposals, of which 1 was successful for £80k– Introductions to 5 prospects of which 3 materialised into clients (these 3 are
substantial as it includes GIMEX, Centurion Fund, Mercuria and BNP Paribas; the latter isstill on-going with strong prospects). Colleagues at EEN Paris were essential in achieving this.
– Through our intervention Quotien now employs 8 people (from 2 when started) and is looking for new premises in Shoreditch and moving from its premises in Hackney;
