1. General Information about your Speedbox • Connect your Speedbox with the included USB Cable on a Power Source (not

included with Speedbox e.g.: USB Power from your PC, Laptop, Power bank, etc...) • An active USB hub with its own power supply is recommended from a cable length of

2m • Place the Speedbox as close as possible to the passing locomotive. • Make sure there are straight tracks on both sides of the Speedbox. Minimum 2 times

the loco length are needed. • Especially at track N and smaller it can happen that the Speedbox has to be placed

higher than the buffer height, please try different height settings.

3. Determine CV5 for the maximum Speed of your Model • Click connect on your Speedbox Application • Get the current CV5 of your Model through your DCC Station or other Tools. • Put this CV5 Value in the CV5 Field of the Speedbox app. • Now put the projected maximum speed in the V Max Field of the app.

• Click “ Start measurement” • Now drive the loco with maximum speed from your DCC Station and pass the

Speedbox.

• The Speedbox app will calculate and propose a new CV5 Value to correspond with your desired maximum speed.

• The colored bar supports the change in addition (yellow : loco is too slow, red: loco is too fast, green: matched the speed).

• If your DCC Central Device supports POM you can change CV5 on the fly. • Drive the loco again with full speed and pass the Speedbox. • Change CV5 again to the proposed value. • Simply repeat the procedure until you have reached the desired speed (usually after

3-4 measurements).

• Click “Start measurement” • Drive with Mid Speed (relative speed 63) in any direction and pass the Speedbox.

• The Speedbox application will propose a new CV 6 Value. Change CV6 to this proposed value.

• The colored bar supports the selection in addition (yellow: loco is too slow, red: loco is too fast, green: matched the speed).

• If your DCC Central Device supports POM you can change CV6 on the fly.
