FIX THE REAL ISSUE
PAGE 16 ASSET LIFECYCLE INTEGRITY PARTNER
17
Fix the Real issue
The Challenge
• CMMS (SAP) delivered too litte value
• Required CMMS selection support
Key reasons
• Lack of Costs transparency
• Lack of Maintenance reference plans
Loodswezen
The Dutch pilots offer a contribution to the
safe and quick pilotage of ships to and from
the Dutch ports and the Flemish ports on the
Scheldt River. Each year, they assist about
100,000 ships.
Loodswezen has an central maintenance
organisation & up to 10 years experience with
SAP
The Result
• CMMS (SAP) still in place
• Aligned organisation
• Objective & KPI Definition
• Maintenance Process Map
• Aligned maintenance organisation
Our Solution
Interviews with key people with organisation.
Series of workshops to map out the current
process and improve process via value stream
mapping; Preparation, testing &
implementation of the SAP customization;
deployment of maintenance engineeering
taskforce to upgrade the maintenance plans
ASSET LIFECYCLE INTEGRITY PARTNER
ALIGNMENT IS KEY
PAGE 18 ASSET LIFECYCLE INTEGRITY PARTNER
19
Alignment is key
The Challenge
• Migrate Asset management data
(configuration data) from multiple sources
to SAP
• Data in the sources is collected for different
objectives & processes
• Data is owned by different groups
ERP at the Navy
Royal Dutch Navy has been implementing SAP
as part of a wider ERP roll out within the
Dutch armed forces. The implementation
aimed to improve the operational availability
and to lower the maintenance costs.
Stork is part of IBM/Stork/Ordina partnership
for the SAP implementation
The Result
• Configuration data loaded into SAP
• Only full appreciation of consequence of
approach during test processes
The Approach
• Used a Cook book approach to establish one
way of defining configuration structures
• Used Change management explain the
integrated nature of CMMS system
• Used a field proven combined data
migration / test process

FOCUS ON PROCESS & PEOPLE
PAGE 20 ASSET LIFECYCLE INTEGRITY PARTNER

Focus on Process & People
The Challenge
• Setup one or more of CMMS systems to
support the work of AJS for ONEgas
• Mandatory use of clients SAP system
• Incorporate “Best Practices” from Amec,
Jacobs & Stork
AJS – Integrated Services Contractor for
ONEgas
AJS is managing and executing all
maintenance & modifications work for 50
offshore assets in the Southern North Sea and
2 gas plants in Den Helder (NL) and Bacton
(UK).
AJS is formed & sourced from three different
companies and their (sub)contractors.
The Result
• One standardised process
• Asset Integrity managed in clients SAP
system
• Two construction management packages
supporting the delivery offshore
The Approach
Use a neutral information domain; maximized
the strength of interconnected corporate
networks. Built an integrated organisation in
multiple worklocatins around one process
