While the box is small...the sound is not! The three planar trans- ducers and two 12” long excursion, side firing bass driver generate a huge sound delivered with expressive details and powerful clarity. This combination of com- pact size and exceptional musical fidelity makes the MTW an excellent choice for a wide range of installed or portable applications. The MTW performance is expanded when matched with the companion VLF or VFL-jr. subwoof loud- speakers. Combining the MTW and VFL subs together creates a performance package suitable for a wide range of musical styles and genre by creating an equalized frequency response from 35 Hz to 19 KHz. What makes the MTW so exceptional? The answer resides in the two different planar magnetic transduc- ers, the MAD-1 and the PT-3, and the wave guide enclosure. Both transducers are true push-pull planar drivers that have been positioned so that their acoustical energy sums together perfectly without any comb filtering, resulting in a very smooth and uniform 70° horizontal x 20° vertical dispersion. In addition, these drivers have very low mass which makes their transient response incredible fast and distortion virtually unde- tectable. The MAD-1 driver is coupled to a wave guide that maintains pattern control down to 300 Hz. MTW can be combined with VFL subwoofs in a variety of combinations in both ground supported or flown arrays. MAD MTW Planar Speaker

The MAD MTW three-way planar magnetic speaker represents a technological

breakthrough that delivers the stellar sonic qualities of planar technology in an

compact form. While the box is small...the sound is not! The three planar trans-

ducers and two 12” long excursion, side firing bass driver generate a huge sound

delivered with expressive details and powerful clarity. This combination of com-

pact size and exceptional musical fidelity makes the MTW an excellent choice for

a wide range of installed or portable applications.

The MTW performance is expanded when matched with the companion VLF or VFL-jr. subwoof loud-

speakers. Combining the MTW and VFL subs together creates a performance package suitable for a wide

range of musical styles and genre by creating an equalized frequency response from 35 Hz to 19 KHz.

What makes the MTW so exceptional? The answer resides in the two different planar magnetic transduc-

ers, the MAD-1 and the PT-3, and the wave guide enclosure. Both transducers are true push-pull planar

drivers that have been positioned so that their acoustical energy sums together perfectly without any comb

filtering, resulting in a very smooth and uniform 70° horizontal x 20° vertical dispersion. In addition, these

drivers have very low mass which makes their transient response incredible fast and distortion virtually unde-

tectable. The MAD-1 driver is coupled to a wave guide that maintains pattern control down to 300 Hz.

MTW can be combined with VFL subwoofs in a variety of combinations in both ground supported or flown

arrays. For more information regarding specific applications or pricing, email [email protected] or call our

The MTW is a unpowered, tri-amped speaker that combines one MAD-1 planar mid-range, two PT-3 planar

high frequency drivers, and two 12” long excursion bass drivers into an compact, high performance enclosure,

measuring less than 30" wide x 17" high x 21" deep. With a 70° horizontal x 20° vertical dispersion pattern, the

MTW is optimized for full-range use with a system response from 55 Hz to 19 Khz. The MTW produces excep-

tional sonic detail and imaging in a stereo or surround sound applications or when used as near field monitors, fill

speakers, or as flown or ground stacked line arrays. .

The rigging system integrated into each cabinet includes all rigging points and adjustment cams allowing each

enclosure to be vertically splayed from 0° to 15°. The array’s SPL output and coverage patterns are determined

by the number of cabinets in the array. Refer to the following chart for performance specifications. Actual output

is subject to environmental and atmospheric conditions and may vary from the published specifications.
