Tools: Getting the Job Done is a manual that combines mundane instructions with the sexuality of little black dresses to communicate the boring facts and warnings for everyday tools while providing comedic value through innuendos.

Using found urban textures and bold colors, these shoeboxes stand out among the competitors minimal black or white packaging while giving a nod to the street culture that is a major influence on the brand.

Maryland Commission on Indian Affairs / student projectThe Commission wanted to update their logo and brochure in a way that would provoke Maryland residents to learn about Native American culture. I used patterns from the regions’ traditional native dress and imagery of contemporary and historical practices to bridge the gap and create interest.


I researched, compiled, wrote, illustrated, designed and bound this 70 page publication. It is about the history of courtship from 1000-1900. While the facts may not be completey accurate, it meets the goal of being entertaining to read.
