MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

WELCOMEOur aim is to inspire and enable you to achieve your goals as you pursue wellness and sporting excellence as we have many programs, services and passionate staff waiting to do just that. Let me highlight a few areas for you. From Cardio, to Spin, to Water Fitness, we have the value-added class that is right for you. These value-added classes are free with a membership, or $9 to drop-in or buy a summer special drop-in pass (see below for details). In our Health & Wellness Programs we want everyone to find their fit, and what better way than in our Discover Your Fit program, to help ensure optimal success. For individuals with back, joint and arthritic pain, cancer survivors or those managing high blood pressure, cholesterol and/or type 2 diabetes, we also have a program for you. Check page 6 for further information. Students, we want to help you get fit and meet other students. Refer to page 11 to see your intramural options and keep your workout schedule up with our Student Summer Pass see the ad on page 5 for details. Help keep your waist trim and yourself centered and prepared in one of our many group fitness programs listed on pages 7 and 8. New this guide is an evening 55+ Hatha Yoga class, Aqua Zumba, as well as programs for those wanting to run a 10km or 1/2 Marathon, or wanting to stay injury free this golf season.

Once again it is time for us to do some upgrades to our equipment and facility. Through the spring and summer, we will be replacing our bleacher system in the gymnasium, upgrading the women's locker and steam room and replacing our fitness centre flooring. Please continually check our website for a complete listing of work being done and anticipated timelines. We thank you in advance for your understanding and patience as we strive to make the facility better for you. We will also be upgrading our website and online registration to make it easier for you to find and register for the right program for you. We are well known for our caring, expert and professional staff. I strongly encourage you to seek out advice for your health and wellness goals. Book an appointment today with one of our trainers, and/or consider the advantages of signing up for the Polar BodyAge assessment and learning your actual body age compared to your biological age. We are waiting to design a program just for you, to help you succeed. I challenge you today to take your next step in wellness. Don't delay—you are your most precious commodity and we are here to help you each and every day as you strive to become a better you. Sincerely, Lisa PittetSenior Manager, MacEwan Sport and Wellness
