Love me – Love fruit

I choose pineapple and dragon fruit, and cut them into different shapes. Through copying and rotating them, to create different patterns. Moreover, I combine the patterns into human’s face and intestinal tracts to express the idea that fruit is meaningful for beauty and health.

A Fu – Let’s Make It Zero

The poster designed for UNICEF, with the theme of reducing children’s mortality rate. The round body of A Fu looks like the number “0” with the meaning of zero rate, and the background is a Chinese complex character with the meaning of happiness and celebration.

Life, Insert vitality

This series of public posters are designed for Red Cross Society for the purpose of encouraging donation of hematopoietic stem cell.

The first poster uses petals of roses and red lines, showing the complexity of life.

The second poster uses the fruit tomato whose figure looks like the hematopoietic stem cell, emphasizing the importance of inserting vitality into life through the contrast of fresh and rotten fruit.

This series of work is to develop a three-dimensional visual space, using gradients and irregular polygon body to create visual illu-sions. Its illustrations combined with each other plane, better showing three-dimension space. And in some ways, to show planar graph and more lively visual effects.

These pictures are designed according to the operating principle of kaleidoscope. After being moved, revolved, symmetrized and duplicated, one single basic pattern constitutes a varity of patterns, which share similarities with one another though appear to be different.

CALENDAR (2013.6)

I designed this calendar as a conceptual calendar, according to the 2014 calendar, coupled with dynamic background pattern that I designed. Patterns of 12 months are different, the color also has a unique flavor of each month.

The patterns in the calendar are flowers and petals, to break the disciplined composing style of traditional calendar and bring more fresh feeling.

Materials: straw, liquid pigments, coated paper

Process: Drop the liquid pigments on the paper and blow them through a straw with different power and direction to create this new kind of letters.

Concept Design

I place some interest of places I have been to and some cities I plan to travel in this book. Each place is represented by a famous building or object. I fill sand and emulsion in the pictures of buildings and objects to create obvious effect and emotion of old memories.

Yunnan Province, located in the southwest side of China, one of the major cradles of human civilization, the book's characters are Ashima Yunnan.

Beijing, China's capital, the Tiananmen Square is its famous building.

Shanghai, Shanghai is China's historical and cultural city, the Oriental Pearl Tower is its famous building.

TEXTURE (2012.11)

Materials：Shaping cream, scrap iron, stone, acrylic paint, paper, canvas

SERIES 1Combining the magma of volcano and the surface of iron rust, I add iron, stone and other real objects to make the effect more real and tridimensional.

SERIES 2Made from the surface of snow mountain, mountain range and some landform of the earth surface. I also spray some soil and sand in the texture for better vision effect.

This series of texture is about rock. I shoot some pictures of cliff and combine the pictures with manual texture, to blend the plane with the three-dimension, vision and sense of touch.

City & NatureI select some parts of the previous texture works and shoot some pictures of buildings. Then find the similarity of these two sets of pictures to combine them together.

The source of inspiration of the work is the Zodiac.

There’s an ancient poetry in China, Men have sorrow and joy; they part or meet again; The moon is bright or dim and she may wax or wane.I summarize people’s whole life as Sad, Joy, Farewell and Reunion, and use objects and materials below to express these emotions.

This work is made of film pieces. And cut film pieces into squares, double up them, paste each cover together, to create a sphere shape and express the feeling of breaking up and recombination.

FoldI use ways of crossing, superposition, crisscross to turn the cuboid cassette into different styles of ste-reo models.
