System OverviewInthe Lync Server environment, giventhe centralizeddeployment model, UniedCommunicaon (UC)users

in a remote site are dependent onthe serversin the enterprisesdata center (typically at headquarters)

for their communicaon, andhence are vulnerable tolosing communicaoncapabilies whenthe WAN is

unavailable.Giventhe always-available expectaonfor voice, it isimperave that the UCsoluonconnuesto

provide the ability for branchusersto make andreceive callswhen the WAN from the branchto the primary

datacenter isunavailable.

Connecng to the SBA Web-Based WizardThe SBA Web-basedwizardis the maintool for installing andconguring the SBA applicaonrunning on

the Mediant 1000B OSN server.The procedure below describeshow toconnect to the SBA wizard.

To connect to theSBA wizard:

1. Connect a PCto the LAN port ofthe OSN module, using a straight-through CAT5 network

cable.

2. The default IP address of the OSN server hosng the SBA is 192.168.0.20. Change the IP address

of your PCso that it isin the same subnet asthis default IP address.

3. Open a standard Web browser (Firefox, Google Chrome, or Internet Explorer 8 and later

is recommended), andthen inthe URL addresseld, enter the default IP addressof the OSN

server (hp://192.168.0.20).

The Welcome toSBA loginscreenappears:

4.Log inwith the default username (Administrator)and password(Pass123), andthen click Login;

the Home screenappears.

5. Connue withSBA conguraon, asdescribed inthe Mediant 1000B SBA for Microso Lync Server
