Author of: Love From Heaven and 'A Message of Hope from the Angels’ “I hate when people talk about finding their "life purpose. ” I meet so many people who are letting life pass them by as they search for this elusive "destiny.… so many people are failing to see the joy and importance in their everyday lives, because they are waiting for the moment to discover the "reason" they are here or "why they exist. ” The truth is we all share a common life purpose. We are here to live each and every moment of our lives to the full… When you stop searching and start living you will discover how much more there is to life. In summary, what she is saying is that the purpose of life is… life. That doesn't give anybody any hope. That doesn’t give anybody peace. People are searching for peace amid the question, “What happens a#er death?” The Bible says, “It is appointed unto man once to die and a#er that the judgment. ” That in itself is not a message of peace either. The Bible gives us the message of how we can peace even a#er death. You don’t get peace from living for the life that is handing you hard circumstances. You get peace by trusting in something bigger than life. In trusting in someone who holds the keys to death and hell. This morning I want is to see that: You can completely trust Jesus because He completely saves you. Hebrews 7:25 says, Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him. I. Jesus completes God’s law. (Hebrews 7:11-14) A. People cannot make you right with God. B. Jesus can make you right with God. II. Jesus clarifies God’s hope. (Hebrews 7:15-19) A. The law does not bring you close to God. B. Jesus brings you close to God. III. Jesus guarantees God’s promises. (Hebrews 7:20-22) A. Priests were born into their position. B. Jesus was appointed to His position. • God promised salvation to all who believe in His Son (Romans 1:1617). God promised that all things will work out for good for His children (Romans 8:28). God promised comfort in our trials (2 Corinthians 1:34). God promised new life in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). God promised every spiritual blessing in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). Whereas, in the Old Testament, Israel had the promise of physical blessing, the church today has been promised spiritual blessings “in the heavenly realms. ” Our inheritance is reserved for us (1 Peter 1:4). God promised to finish the work He started in us (Philippians 1:6). He started the work in us, and He will be sure to complete it. God promised peace. (Philippians 4:67). It will “guard your hearts and your minds in Christ. God promised to supply our needs (Matthew 6:33; Philippians 4:19). Not that we get everything we want, but our needs will be taken care of . We are more valuable than the birds, and our Heavenly Father feeds them (Matthew 6:26). Jesus is the surety of all of these promises and more. We can be sure that they will all come true because God has given us the surety of His Son. His death on the cross was not the end of His ministry to us. IV . Jesus represents God’s people.(Hebrews 7:23-25) A. People have a temporary ministry. B. Jesus has a permanent ministry. You can completely trust Jesus because He completely saves you. There are no loopholes to your salvation. Trust Christ, His death for you and His resurrection for you, - You are saved. We can have security and confidence. We can have confidence because… 1. Jesus completes God’s law. 2. Jesus clarifies God’s hope 3. Jesus guarantees God’s promises. 4. Jesus represents God’s people.
