In 2000, a study on Oxford Street, one of

London’s busiest shopping streets, showed that a quarter of a million blobs of chewing gum were stuck to its pavement.

In the lead up the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, The Mayor of London Boris Johnson said: "Gum detritus casts an unsightly stain on our beautiful city and scraping it off our streets is also a great drain on taxpayers' money.

Idea

The wall is covered by thousands of people's chewing gum in Seattle's Post Alley. Apparently the sticking of gum on wall started in the 90's while patrons waited in line for buying theater tickets.

Numerous attempts were made to 'clean up' the alley by removing off the gum, but things didn't work out & above are the results. The gum spread into a Seattle tourist attraction.
