Executive Summary

This project involves building a platform for London Tamil Media Ltd Information

Technology needs. Two major domains of technology requirements are addressed by

this proposal.

Providing secure authentication and authorization solution for London Tamil Media

Ltd users, computers and stakeholders

Equip London Tamil Media Ltd employees with flexible business productivity suits to

carry out day to day business activities in secure manner

Standard, Available features, Ease of use and Learning curve of systems and software

were involved in the selection process of the solution. Special emphasis was given for

the aspects of Manageability, Security, Scalability, Business continuity and Disaster

recovery options as well.

After careful consideration and analysis of business activities, it is recommended that

London Tamil Media Ltd will achieve expected goals by implementing and introducing

Windows Server Domain Services and Office 365 Business Premium products and

services to its IT infrastructure.

It is identified a two phased approach for implementation of the project would better

suit the needs of London Tamil Media Ltd. First phase will involve successfully setting up

the domain infrastructure and the second phase will continue on provisioning Office

365 services and integration of domain and cloud services.

Once completed London Tamil Media Ltd will be equipped with future proof on-

premises and cloud platforms which would accelerate productivity and efficiency.

Providing an industry recognized, robust, scalable, secure solution for London Tamil

Media Ltd Information Technology needs. Proposed project consist of two major phases.

First phase is design, implementation and installation of Domain, Directory Services

along with other Windows Server 2012 R2 components. Second phase is configuring

and integrating Office 365 solution with on-premises directory.

Approach

First phase of the project will design, implement and test the Domain Controller and

Directory Services. Following the requirement analysis customized and fine-tuned

Domain infrastructure will be built as per specifications. Policies for user and computer

governance will be defined and evaluated to confirm required standards are met.

Once the fully functional Domain Controller is set up and operational, phase two of the

project, Office 365 implementation will be commenced.

Our stepped Office 365 Delivery Methodology reflects the experience gained from

numerous Office 365 implementations. Key tenets of the methodology are

Project Risks

A risk is an event or situation that may negatively impact a project, if it occurs. In

contrast, issues are events that are already happening. Risks can become issues if they

are not addressed effectively.

In preparation of this deployment plan the following risks have been identified and

analyzed:

While every effort has been made to ensure that the scope of the deployment is clearly

documented in this deployment plan, unforeseen circumstances and business

conditions may result in a sudden change of scope.

Mitigation - To reduce the risk of additional scope items being introduced after project

kickoff, the draft deployment plan will be circulated for review with all stakeholders

before the plan is finalized and work begins. Any request for change in scope will be

reviewed by the project sponsor and project owner and, if possible, deferred to a

follow-up project after the completion of this project.

Contingency - If a scope change is deemed necessary and approved by the project

sponsor, the project team will identify the effort required to make the change and any

additional costs the project will incur. As this item would not have been budgeted for,

the project owner will seek additional budget from the project sponsor, or requestor.

Schedule slips past completion deadline

Infinite Technologies will endeavor to finish the project on the set timelines after

agreement with the sponsors. However If the project draws out longer than this,

additional costs from supporting the existing platform may be incurred.

Mitigation - To reduce the risk of project slippage, an extra time buffer will been added

to the end of every phase to account for any potential overruns.

Contingency - If a slippage does occur, the project owner will communicate any

impact to the project sponsor in the weekly status report. If a phase slips longer than

the allocated buffer time, low priority tasks will be cut from the project and will be

reviewed for inclusion in a post-deployment project.

Note : As discussed earlier with Mr. Thayananthan, Server hardware along with Windows

Server 2012 R2 Standard Edition with 20 CALs will be provided by London Tamil Media

Ltd on the acceptance of the proposal for the project to initialize.
