Years 6-8 Religious Studies Competition!Make the most impressive, realistic and detailed model of a world famous place of worship and take a photograph of your efforts.
Drama competition
The title is:JUST A NORMAL DAY IN THE NEW NORMAL
Either film yourself (with additional family cast members if you like) or use Lego characters, cuddly toys, puppets, photographs/drawings (with written dialogue)To show a short scene
depicting life in ‘the new normal’
Your scene should last a maximum of 5 minutes.
It can be a straight play, a musical or a comedy.

History Summer 2020 CompetitionWho: All students from Year 6 to Year 10
When: Over the summer holidays. The deadline is 31st August.
Where: From your local town or village to further afield
What: Please take a photograph or short video of an historical artefact, building or site. Explain why the photograph is both interesting and important to YOU. We are looking for interesting, personal and original ideas.
Why: To win a prize and have the photograph or still from the video displayed in each of the History classrooms as part of a brand new display.

Language Immersion Challenge
• This programme is open to all students from year 7 to 10
• Participants will be awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze certificates depending on the number of
challenges they complete.Bronze Certificate = 4 challenges completed
Silver Certificate = 8 challenges completedGold Certificate = 12 or more challenges completed
• This booklet is to be used to keep a record of the challenges completed (click on the icon to
download the booklet). The booklet will also be available on the school website. :
• Booklets must be returned to your MFL teacher in September.
• Following this, certificates will be awarded.

Time Capsule CompetitionOpen to years 7-9: create a time capsule which represents your experiences this academic year. It can include the whole year or focus on lock down and remote learning, that is up to you.
It can be a physical box full of items that represent your experiences and/or a digital document.
Usually physical time capsules are buried under ground or placed under floor boards, however storing it at the bottom of a wardrobe or saving the file on your computer to be opened at a later date also works.
Submissions should be digital so we can ‘store’ them for you to be given back to you during year 11. A PowerPoint, a photographed collage, a video diary are all possible formats. You may think of more!

Plan a Family Walk Competition
Plan and give details of a walk suitable for a family and a six year old Labrador called Elsa.
Include:• A map• Written directions to go with the map• Length of walk• Points of interest, with a little information• Anything else you think would be helpful for someone doing
the walk for the first time.
No more than two sides of A4 No more than 250 wordsCan use colour, photos (of route and people walking it) and (original) drawings AND your imagination.
