The course reflects the latest DoD Instruction 5000.02 guidance regarding sustainment requirements and processes, and provides a comprehensive understanding of Systems Sustainment Management principles and fundamentals - roles, responsibilities and functions of Life Cycle Logisticians - emphasis on the Operations and Support (O&S) phase of the life cycle. - concepts, policies and practices of logistics / supply chain management, for new and legacy systems - best practices in developing and implementing performance-based life cycle logistics support (PBL) sustainment strategies - principles of the Materiel Availability Key Performance Parameter (KPP) and Key System Attributes of Materiel Reliability and Ownership Costs, and Mean Down Time. • Objectives
– Identify concepts, policies, and practices of logistics/supply chain management particularly as they apply to new and legacy systems during the sustainment phase of their life cycle, and

I found the course to be extremely informative and very well organized, providing a very good mix of macro and micro perspectives on the overarching topic of Systems Sustainment. While there are definitely a few tweaks that need to take place, I certainly feel that this course has hit the intended mark and will be extremely beneficial to all acquisitions professionals who participate in the course.
Overall this course is one of the best courses I have taken through DAU.
I found the end of lesson assessments to be very appropriate and logical for this course.
The course was put together well and had a nice flow to it. I enjoyed taking this course and with a little tweaking this course will be an added asset to the LOG cadre of courses.
Overall, I found the course to be very good. The information was presented in a logical manner and was easy to understand.
Collectively I thought this was the best DAU Course I have taken. I work in a PM office with responsibility for the NET and Fielding Team and this material really related to what I do in the O&S Phase, thanks, it was a pleasure.
