Wick.Division.of.Kent Lois Mae Greenwald, 81, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, went to Heaven on Saturday, August 20, 2016. Lois was born in Wheeling, West Vir- ginia to Robert and Mar- gret Diss on December 2, 1934. She came up to Ohio when she was 8 years old. Lois lived in Brady Lake with her par- ents and her older brother Bobby. She and Bobby had lots of fun playing with other Brady Lake kids and she attended Brady Lake School. Lois graduated from Kent Roosevelt High School in 1952 and worked as a teller at 2nd National Bank in Ravenna. In 1964 she married Bill Thomas and had a son Willis (Billy) Thomas in 1964. In 1970 she married Edward Stanley Greenwald and started working at the Ohio Bureau of Employ- ment Service until her retirement in 1994. While she worked there she helped hundreds of peo- ple receive benefits. Lois was very proud of the work she did. Upon her retirement Lois and Stanley moved to North Fort Myers Fla. After Stanley died in 2005 she moved back to Ohio to live with her son. In March of 2015 she became a resident of the Gardens of Western Reserve where she met lots of new friends. Lois was a kind, com- passionate, dignified, intelligent women who loved to read, watch her favorite shows and had a great sense of humor. She always cared about other people and animals. Lois was a keen observer of current events. She leaves her son, Willis and his fiance` Becky and two nephews and one niece. Lois was preceded in death by her father, mother, step-father Wally Dix, her brother and her husband. During Lois’ lengthy respitory illness she fought with courage and determination. The fam- ily would like to thank Dr. John Sassano, Dr. Albert Kim and their staff, the pulmonary reha- bilitation staff (Jen, Jen- nifer & Mary), S.C.A.T. drivers, and the staff of the Gardens of the West- ern Reserve. Dave worked as a welder for 20 years with MacNeil Machine and Engineering in Akron. After leaving there, he became a full- time farmer. Dave devoted his time to his family and his farm. He loved to grow vegetables and give them to family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing at his pond. Dave was a loving and giving man, who will be missed by many. Dave is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janice A. (Faulhaber) Savage of Edinburg, sons: David J. (Michelle) Savage II of Fulton, New York, Rich- ard F. (Lisa) Savage of Newton Falls, and Brian J. (Stephanie) Savage of Edinburg, as well as his grandchildren: Brian, Brenden, Cody, Rick, Nathan, Dave III, and Kelley. David Joseph Savage Sr., age 75, a lifelong res-ident of Edinburg, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016, at his home.

Refresh Dental to hold open house on Friday

Refresh Dental in Kent is looking to reach out to a larg-er audience. The den-tistry, located at 1951 S.R. 59 in Kent, will be holding an open house event from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday.

“We want to do like an open-house patient appreciation day,” said dental assistant Steph-anie Kozar. “We want to let the people who have been with us know that we appreciate them and we also want to open the door to new patients.”

Food, refreshments and items such as den-tal floss and tooth-

paste will be on hand for people throughout the open house. Den-tist Kristin Donaldson stressed the impor-tance of reaching out to the community.

“We’re trying to get the word out to peo-ple who don’t really no-tice us,” she said. “We don’t have a sign right now in front of our of-fice but we are work-ing on getting one. We want to explain the ser-vices that we do. We want to show people the office and what we can offer.”
