The invitation of Jesus is to become his disciple and follow his way of life. At Hershey Free Church, we define it this way: A disciple is someone who lives with Jesus, loves like Jesus, and leads others to do the same. What does this look like?

LIVING WITH JESUS is not merely practicing habits of Bible study and prayer out of duty. Rather it is intentionally taking the time to be with Jesus through re-flecting on his Word to us and creating space to hear the Spirit speaking to us.

LOVING LIKE JESUS flows naturally from being with him. As we receive his gift of love, we give it out of the overflow of what we have received from him.

LEADING OTHERS TO DO THE SAME is a result of the joy we expe-rience in our relationship with Jesus. Out of that relationship, we intentionally engage others in our spheres of influence to take next steps in living with Jesus and loving like Jesus.

AT HERSHEY FREE we believe that the greatest thing you do for your relation-ship with Jesus—and as an encouragement to others—is to be intentional with your personal relationship with God. As you learn to live with Jesus by develop-ing spiritual rhythms and listening to God, your life will overflow into the lives of those around you. Because we value life together, we encourage you to participate in a Live/Love/Lead Group. These groups consist of 8-12 people and meet in local homes.

To join a Live/Love/Lead Group, come to Connect, where we will talk about what a Live/Love/Lead Group looks like and give you an opportunity to “sample” a group experience. Connect is also a great place to ask any questions you might have about the additional Connect Groups that are listed in this brochure.
