LITTLE HUZEL TREERomanian folk dance and song The 1 st grade , “ST.MARY” SCHOOL MIZIL
Pupils from the 1st A and C grades from “ST. MARY” SCHOOL, MIZIL, ROMANIA learnt the Romanian folk dance “Little huzel nut”
The song has a joyful, rhythmical tune which encourages to dance
The pupils guided by their teachers Costache Daniel si Vranceanu Carmen learnt to sing and dance this beautiful folk dance
The dance is played in a circle
The kids seize by hands with their elbows a little bit curved
The dance begins by putting the right leg to the right , 6 steps sideway and then the approaching the left leg followed by 2 rhythmical beatings on the left leg
Then the left begin by putting the left leg
During the dance every kid’s carriage will be relaxed , the back of the body and the had will be stright
The schoolboys and the schoolgirls learnt the song during the Music lesson
Then they came out of the classroom and they sang the song
In the park, next to our school in front of the church they sang and danced
They wear Romanian folk costumes, specific to the area where we live
We end with the wish wich we find in the lines of the song:” Little huzel tree will bring you luck!”
