Who cares if I litter or not? that is what most people say about

littering. Believe it or not you don’t want anyone to litter . Littering

causes a lot of things that you wouldn’t want to happen. When you put

garbage on the ground you are littering. Many people don’t realize the

effect that they are having on the environment. Littering causes

pollution. In addition to making the earth look ugly, this pollution can

make animals sick or even kill them. I will give you some research on

littering and I hope that by the end of this essay you will try to avoid

ever littering again.

Littering causes pollution which hurts our lungs when you breath

it in. Some people throw away their garbage just to get it out of their

sight, or maybe just because they do not want to waste their time and

throw it into the garbage. Littering is a serious problem which causes

pollution, it is one of the reasons for global warming. You may not be

able to see pollution, but it is in the air . I bet that you never thought

one wrapper would cause such a big event.

Most smokers believe that one little cigarette butt won’t cause

any harm , but in fact the poisons in cigarettes butts kill small animals.

A lit butt can cause fires and have other negative impacts on the

environment and human health.

In Singapore, Besides hurting the environment by littering you

can get a ticket. Littering is a criminal offence.. Not littering and

recycling can help reduce pollution and make the environment more

beautiful and safer for people and animals.

To stop people from littering, we must start with individual

commitment. Littering not only reflects poorly on the city.
