ABSTRAKSI
Menurut data dari Badan Pusat Statistik Tangerang pada tahun 2015 menyatakan
bahwa Tangerang adalah salah satu dari beberapa tempat di Indonesia yang
memiliki jumlah industri terbanyak di Indonesia dari industri kecil, industri
menengah hingga industri besar. Tangerang hanya kalah dari Karawang dan
Bekasi sebagai kawasan indstri terbanyak di Indonesia. Pemerintah Daerah
(Pemda) ingin Tangerang menjadi alternatif wisata bagi para wisatawan dari
dalam dan luar Tangerang. Pemda sudah melakukan berbagai macam cara seperti
membuat sebuah acara-acara besar di berbagai tempat wisata di Tangerang agar
menarik minat wisatawan. Hal tersebut terbukti Tangerang memiliki kenaikan
jumlah wisatawan setiap tahunnya. Namun minimnya media informasi yang
dimiliki Tangerang menjadi salah satu faktor masalah bagi wisatawan yang ingin
berkunjung ke Tangerang. Dari hasil kuesioner yang dilakukan oleh penulis
menyatakan bahwa wisatawan yang datang ke Tangerang membutuhkan media
informasi. Media informasi berupa website adalah rekomendasi terbanyak karena
memiliki akses yang mudah, dan mampu dipertanggung jawabkan. Penulis
menggunakan metode perancangan dari Turban, Rainer & Potter (2005) yang
menjelaskan tahapan perancangan website diantaranya Perencanaan, Analisis,
Perancangan, Implementasi, Pengujian, dan Perawatan. Metode perancangan
tersebut agar website yang menjadi media informasi wisatawan di Tangerang
mampu berjalan dengan semestinya. Dengan adanya website setidaknya akan
menjadi pedoman bagi para wisatawan untuk mengunjungi tempat wisata di
Tangerang.

ABSTRACT
According to data from the Tangerang Central Bureau of Statistics in 2015 stated
that Tangerang is one of the few places in Indonesia that has the largest number
of industries in Indonesia from small industries, medium industries to large
industries. Tangerang only lost to Karawang and Bekasi as the most industrial
areas in Indonesia.The Regional Government (Pemda) wants Tangerang to
become a alternative destination for vacation. The local government has done
various ways such as making large events at various tourist attractions in
Tangerang to attract tourists. It is proven that Tangerang has an increase in the
number of tourists every year. But the lack of Information media owned by
Tangerang is one of the problem factors for tourists who want to visit Tangerang.
From the results of the questionnaire conducted by the authors stated that tourists
who come to Tangerang need information media. Digital media information such
as website and social media are more relevan to used because it has easy access,
shareable, and costless. This research using design method by Turban, Rainer &
Potter (2005) which explains the stages of website design including Planning,
Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing, and Maintenance. With the existence
of the website, it would be a destination directory for tourists to find many
recommended attractions in Tangerang.
